Part 2 of a nice, unproblematic thread to discuss some of the fab outfits from the Duchess of Sussex, and some of the many great causes she (and Harry) and Archewell supports.

I agree, also with her olive skin no one rocks white like she does.

I once bought a similar shirt to the Blue & White striped shirt that Meghan wore ( maybe she wore it for Wimbledon I can’t quite remember) my husband asked me if I’d signed up to the navy and when was I setting sail! Never bothered wearing it again! I’m definitely not Meghan!!!!!!!!

Haha that made me laugh out loud! That would be my DH, if he ever says something I wear is interesting I know I've got a problem!

At the risk of being controversial, I don't really like the messy bun on either of them! At least, not with the outfits shown - it seems contrived.

I'm sure they'd both look lovely with a naturally messy bun in a casual setting, where they've just pulled their hair back themselves spontaneously, but a 'messy' bun crafted by a skilled hairdresser seems a bit daft to me.

I once wore a striped top (years ago) similar to something Catherine wore and my husband kept calling me Wally! He even bought me some Wally glasses. Wanker 😆

I think M’s casual looks are very enviable. But it’s true - jeans and a shirt look better on the slim of leg: I look terrible in “preppy” clothes and if I wear jeans and a T-shirt I resemble a 1970s roadie 😭

I like Meghan in tan/white (love that white coat she had) but brown, not so much, eg that ugly brown trousers/shirt combo she just wore. In fact does anybody suit brown?!

I have slim legs but it's what's above the legs that's the problem! The silhouette is not so good 😂

It depends what brown doesn't it... I love the coffee colours

I’m a size 8-10 ( 9 in a perfect world) but I 5’3 with a huge arse so I don’t pull off any Royal looks at all!!! Gutted 😭

My friend is an amazing jeans designer, I promise everyone can look great in a pair of jeans, they just have to suit you and thats the hard part, finding a brand or style for you. Meghan looks good in various styles because of the shape of her leg.

I wish I looked like Meghan or Kate with a bun (messy or otherwise). I just look like Moss Trunchbull 😔

The photos of Meghan in her evening wedding dress are amazing. I remember googling what diet she ate during the wedding - as if a smoothie would somehow morph me into someone that beautiful 😂

MM looks better with a messy bun, and KM with a formal updo, in my opinion. Vice versa doesn’t work as well on them

Re protocols that everyone married in women keep breaking in the BRF - it feels like a lot of that was just speculation about HMQE’s preferences.

I got so sick of those ‘here’s 12 things Kate and Meghan are not allowed to do anymore’ articles.

Things like not being able to eat garlic or shellfish anymore. Simply because a royal chef mentioned in an article once that the Queen didn’t really like garlic in her dishes, and didn’t eat shellfish on big royal events (to avoid the possibility of getting a bad oyster and ruining a tour I assume)

I think the discussion about protocol is definitely relevant, but I don't want this thread to get to be too much about protocol, if that's a fair request

I will/can start a new thread about that. One where we can discuss the ridiculousness of protocol and how it has been used to control and abuse those (women) marrying into the family, and the double standards leveraged against members. Both light-hearted and serious discussions will be welcomed there

I think it's because the first post on the thread was about protocol, so often people take it from there. However, a separate thread may be a good idea.

Toil and trouble - Royal protocol thread

Good Morning Britain have surpassed themselves even giving a run to some of the thread starters on here with their obsessiveness and negativity with Meghan.

GMB discussing Meghan as a possibility to replace Diane Feinstien hours after Laphonza Butler had been appointed to that role.
No chance then of seeing Meghan out and about in Senate.

I understand other publications reported similar.

I think possibly leave this thread to talk about Meghan’s clothes and projects like OP stated, just like Kate’s thread. I only say this because part 1 turned into a thread tearing her apart even though it started with good intentions.

Maybe start a new thread highlighting the hypocrisy and deliberate hate campaign by broadcasters?

I think Meghan looks best in more casual daytime styles and chic neutrals, and Kate looks best in more formal evening outfits and can really rock bold jewel colours. However they both look very good in red.

Did you see her outfit at Harry’s birthday dinner in Germany? That was my favourite casual look.

So do I! I think certain tabloids pressed the “destroy” button tbh. I’m surprised how so many people can just accept what they are being fed without questioning the narrative … .
