Duchess of Success succeeds in getting the ridiculous lawsuit by Samantha Markle dismissed

Common sense decision this.

I hope that the tabloids who were (most probably) sponsoring this non-case of Samantha Markle's will pay the Duchess of Sussex her legal fees.

The judge correctly found that how Meghan felt about her upbringing was a subjective opinion about her childhood and her relationship with her half-sister. The court found that Meghan's statement about "feeling like an only child" is not objectively verifiable or subject to empirical proof, and, as a statement of pure opinion was “not capable of being proved false”.
The court also said the plaintiff Samantha "cannot plausibly disprove" Meghan's "opinion of her own childhood."

On the claims based on Finding Freedom, the court said the Duchess could not be held accountable for a book that she did not write or publish.

Go Meghan. I'm sure Samantha will file something else again soon ... and that she will lose again.

I think it was a ridiculous lawsuit that deserved to be dismissed.

How is it a "varying recollections" for a woman who was three years old when her parents divorced, and who lived with her mother after that, while her older half-sister was by then 20 years old and her half-brother was 18, to say that growing up she felt like an only child? At no point did she say she was an only child, because the answer she gave was in response to a question about her half-sister, she did not deny that Samantha was her sister, merely said, growing up she felt like an only child. Not surprising, even that she was the only child in her mother's house.

Not only was she actually the only child of her mother, her two older siblings were 15 and 17 years older than she was, and did not live with her and her mother from the age of 3.

I'm sure you will get over the disappointment in time.

I'm slightly frustrated that we will be denied the opportunity to see some 'narc on narc' action in the courts. I don't think we would have disappointed. Judge has been a bit of a spoil sport if you ask me.

I felt like an only child and also had much older siblings.

I'm glad that nonsense has been closed down. It was horrific that at the time of her wedding with everything else she had to endure she had this thorn in her side from her sister.

I think the petition was started by an anti M&H who wanted them to have their titles removed. I thought MN closed that down.

I have older half sisters, they both left home when I was 5/6yrs old. So although I have sisters, I also felt like an only child due to the huge age gap and spending most of my childhood on my own with my parents. Makes sense to me!

It is common sense and makes sense to normal rational people. It is only because it is tied in with Meghan that some people suddenly find this situation hard to understand.

The one that's being mocked on SM. The petition is addressed to KC asking him to make Meghan Queen😂(it even had 25 signatures when I saw it!). I think she is American and everytime she refers to Duchess Meghan she spells it 'Dutchess' Meghan, hence my asking😁.
