Camilla walked past Maori greeters

Just been reading twitter that as part of Commonwealth Day, Maori subjects had been stationed outside Westminster Abbey to greet Charles and Camilla with a traditional greeting. Charles stopped and listened to them. Camilla carried on walking holding on to her hat in the wind.
It just looked incredibly rude of her.

It is part of her job to stop and listen and look vaguely interested.
She is not ready to be polite? Most people know not to be rude because of their upbringing during their childhood.

Perhaps she wasn't told about them and had something else scheduled.

I'd guess she hates all this stuff. There are things called hat pins, or other suitable headgear for windy occasions. She doesn't want to be there. It looked very rude to me. The poor Maoris, what a kick in the teeth. I wonder if C+C had a row afterwards.

Charles stopped for about 30 seconds. Too long though for Camilla to stop and pretend to be interested.
And I agree about the lack of a hat pin. So basic.

It was a very blustery day. Maybe she didn’t want to risk a Marilyn photo? Her skirt had already swirled up when she got out of the car? But yes, I too saw it and was surprised.

And she just got over Covid. And her beloved BIL just died. Maybe she was human and exhausted and needed to go home. Maybe she didn't see them because of her hat?

You all do realize that the Royal family are human beings right? Because I am seriously starting to think you don't.

I fully understand that bereavement and illness can take its toll. However, there was absolutely nothing to stop the Queen from taking to her bed and sending a sick note. Who would have questioned it from a protocol point of view? As it is, gossip is having a field day because she DID turn up, was overtly rude, and by the looks of it wanted to be anywhere else but there.

She has a lot to look forward to in a similar vein, and it's not a great start.

Her hat was not big, of course she saw them! , she looked at their singing and dancing as she walked away, 30 seconds would've done it.

What did anyone expect? She wasn't called the laziest woman in England for nothing, and I thought it was pretty well known that her main value to the RF lies in calming Charles - at least while she's with him, which isn't much

God she's not that much older than me! I'd have stood there watching the lovely maori boys and girls till they dragged me away!

Her left arm looked rigid to her chest, I wondered how well she was actually. It may have been the plan for her to walk ahead all along if she's unwell or fragile in some way.

🙄 Camilla is usually pretty polite and chatty on these walkabouts... yes it would have been nice of her to stop for them but the weather looked shit and she could see KC was stopping. Hardly a big deal at all.

Catherine and William didn't stop either. Edward and Sophie did for a short time.

Well, she did in 2019. I just watched the entrances. There were Highland dancers and pipers performing and no one in the RF stopped. The Queen didn't even seem to glance at them.
