Harry and Meghan - Fairytale or not?!

After watching the Netflix series - I’m just in awe at how perfect their relationship is. How in awe he is of his wife, and how strong they are as a couple.

Does love like that really exist?!

Royal family topic

BethJ62 · 23/12/2022 18:55

Oh dear . You really think this ??

LadyKenya · 23/12/2022 19:16

Yes it does. Whether it stays that way is another matter. Regarding H&M I hope that their love lasts, despite all the external pressures they face. There are too many sad people willing for their marriage to fail.

pelargoniums · 23/12/2022 19:18

The thing that struck me in the documentary, which I otherwise enjoyed, was that they think this way – we’re the first couple to ever fall in love! Our love is unique! – but actually… that’s just love isn’t it? Everyone in love feels like they’re the first to be in love.

DarkKarmaIlama · 23/12/2022 19:21

It was a fairytale for me when I met my husband. I was 17 and it was all very intense. Still together very happily married. I believe in their love story. They did fall madly in love….. it happens!

Blondlashes · 23/12/2022 19:22

Yeah, but no.
They have been married for approximately 5 seconds. Hopefully their marriage is long and happy and lasts.
That doesn’t correlate with them having good judgement and selling their sorry to Netflix. They could have just stayed quiet, not aired their dirty laundry. They chose not to. Their life has so many many advantages compared to the common man. I have seen the edges of what the advantages great riches bring.
So if they are together in 10/20/30 years time that’s lovely.

upfucked · 23/12/2022 19:24

Traditional fairytales are very dark. I suspect their lives aren’t that bad but that a subject issue so perhaps they believe them to be that bad.

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 23/12/2022 19:24

In awe? He’s fucking terrified in case he displeases her.

Plumbear2 · 23/12/2022 19:25

Apparently they split up months ago.

In awe? He’s fucking terrified in case he displeases her.

How do you know this? Are you in contact with him?

Fireflygal · 23/12/2022 19:28

In awe of her?? Did you see his face when she did the elaborate curtesy?? That was contempt& anger not love.

Remember this is a highly edited and most likely scripted docusoap. They have chosen how they want to be presented. I don't think anyone knows the truth of their relationship.

User12453315 · 23/12/2022 19:30

Textbook narcissistic trauma bonding

Charliehaus · 23/12/2022 19:31

A couple apparently that happy wouldn’t be professional victims and so obsessed with moaning and hard done by.

HermioneWeasley · 23/12/2022 19:32

Truly, theirs is a love that has never been loved before.

Badger1970 · 23/12/2022 19:34

More like a horror story.......

babysgotthespends · 23/12/2022 19:37

I wouldn't say I was in awe of their relationship but it looked genuine and quite lovely. I thought they came across very well - Netflix would have done a bad job otherwise.
There's so much hate for them on mumsnet 🤷🏿‍♀️ I wish them well ✌🏿

JamSandle · 23/12/2022 19:42

I wish them well too. I think they do genuinely love one another.

PeaceJoySleep · 23/12/2022 19:44

I think they have a strong bond but I dont think it's a healthy one.

LadyKenya · 23/12/2022 19:44

I am not in awe of anyone I see on tv. I do not know any of them personally. What I see of them, I do believe that there is love in evidence. Anyway this thread is no doubt going to go the same way as all the others, full of posters ready to spout their bile. Good Evening.

JaneJeffer · 23/12/2022 19:47

I think Harry is going to end up in a sad state.

Wonnle · 23/12/2022 20:05

She's an actress , work it out

Harry is being used by her

Bakeacaketoday73 · 23/12/2022 20:08

I would be hugely surprised if they were still married in 5 years, it may limp on a little longer while he works out how to make up with the Royal family....

Iam4eels · 23/12/2022 20:08

They met six or seven years ago? So they're hardly in the spring flush of their relationship, they're long term and still committed. I wish them well.

Comedycook · 23/12/2022 20:12

I watched it. I have some sympathy for how they have been treated by the press. I'm not a fan but I don't dislike them.

As for their relationship though...you'd have thought they invented love! It's not a fairytale. It's a normal relationship imo. They seemed to think it was somewhat out of the ordinary but it's not. They met, got on well, fell in love. No different to millions of couples to be honest.

PreparationPreparationPrep · 23/12/2022 20:13

They seem genuine to me. It looks like they can be themselves -I think that is Megan's personality anyway but I noticed Harry seems far more relaxed now he has a wife and children - basically his own family to care for rather than being the add on for his brother and wife.
