Harry and Meghan - Fairytale or not?!

After watching the Netflix series - I’m just in awe at how perfect their relationship is. How in awe he is of his wife, and how strong they are as a couple.

Does love like that really exist?!

I don't think they will be still married 10 years down the line. If they were truelly happy tbey wouldn't have sold their story to the highest bidder and lived their lives in private like they wanted, they thrive on drama particularly meghan. Its interesting how she has not relationship with her family albeit with her mother who at one point didn't raise her as she was in jail and had a previous failed married she seems to be the common denominator here.

Yeah sure, her fault what her mother did when she was a child. 🙄😵‍💫 Honestly! 🤣

I watched it. I have some sympathy for how they have been treated by the press. I'm not a fan but I don't dislike them.

As for their relationship though...you'd have thought they invented love! It's not a fairytale. It's a normal relationship imo. They seemed to think it was somewhat out of the ordinary but it's not. They met, got on well, fell in love. No different to millions of couples to be honest.

Exactly. The language around it is so dramatic.
Like they are the only couple to fall in love.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 23/12/2022 21:38

Apparently they split up months ago.

Another baseless rumour. I've heard the same said about the other royal couple. Not a shred of evidence that either is true.

LittleBitLostWithoutYou · 23/12/2022 21:40

I don’t think it’s a fairytale but they look very much in love. As they should. If you’re not in love with your partner and they don’t look at you like that, I think you’re with the wrong person.

What’s wrong with sitting on kitchen surfaces? We do it all the time, my son often eats his dinner sitting on our kitchen island whilst chatting to me. 😬

LolaSmiles · 23/12/2022 21:40

They seem in love and good for them.

It's no different to millions of other people who meet, fall in love, marry and have children though.

Haydugee · 23/12/2022 21:42

Me thinks they protest too much…

No, no and thrice no. 😉

pilates · 23/12/2022 21:51

Really, how funny coz they came across quite fake to me.

Letsrunabath · 23/12/2022 21:53

I met and married my husband 37 years ago within 6 months. We didn’t have children until years later. I thought that came across as we did then as absolutely madly in love and having to take some strong stands against toxic family members.
a few years later when everyone realised we really were good for each other tensions smoothed.
I hope that happens for them.

LittleBitLostWithoutYou · 23/12/2022 21:53

Are the people who have an issue with sitting on kitchen surfaces the same ones who can’t sit on the sofa or lie on their bed in their ‘outside clothing?’ Should we be dead by now from ‘all the germs?’

thenightsky · 23/12/2022 22:01

Even the cartoon Harry showed the camera of Meghan treating him like a dog was shot down

What is this? Is this like the Rula Lenska big brother cat thing?

@bakalava 😂😂😂.

She's trained dog's and those skills are transferable 😂

@bakalava sounds like she is talking from experience

Doria was in JAIL??? Wtf for?

Maximinimalist · 23/12/2022 22:07

Pay attention to your own relationship. No one knows what really goes on between two people. Their relationship may last until the day one of them dies or maybe not. So far, their relationship has lasted longer than many.

Their relationship is not unusual.

Who is the other Royal couple ? Charles and Camilla ? Edward and Sophie ? Anne and Tim ? William and Kate ? Zara and Mike ? Or one of the Yorks ?
There are several royal couples.

Flowersinspringgrowwild · 23/12/2022 22:14

They came across really well. Definitely went up in my estimations. The love stuff was a bit ott but she’s American so it’s expected. But also it’s a fairly dramatic story. Fair bloody play to them for taking on the racist shitrag that is the Daily Mail and winning.

William and Kate.

Some bloke Giles something or the other tweeted he was cheating with one of her mates, and deleted it shortly after. Later said it was a joke.
It’s now gospel, rumours of super injunctions and all sorts.

He was apparently at Soho lounge when he tweeted it, along with Harry and Meghan.

Make of all that what you will.

Molly70 · 23/12/2022 22:18

I think it was quite telling that Meghan revealed that Harry had said that he has lost his father in this process. She also shrugged and added that it was up to him. I think he is beginning to realize what he has given up and is starting to put some of the blame onto her. It doesn’t bode well.

PicturesOfDogs · 23/12/2022 22:20

The thing is though, they’re presenting an us against the world narrative, so they’re not going to show the clips of them arguing and sniping at each other.
Or the clips where she goes to hold his hand, and he pulls it away and sighs, which are all over YouTube.
I think they’re a bit codependent, so can’t see them splitting up anytime soon.

I hope they don’t tbh, they have two lovely children, and a lovely life.

They just need to let go of their bitterness and get on with living it.

ZeViteVitchofCwismas · 23/12/2022 22:23

@PicturesOfDogs
How do you know Giles was in Soho lounge! This is new info..

CocoLux · 23/12/2022 22:25

It's like couples who post incessantly on Instagram about how idyllic their life is together. The more noise you make about it, the less convincing it seems.

I read it somewhere, can’t remember where though…?

PicturesOfDogs · 23/12/2022 22:41

Soho house even! (You can tell these aren’t my regular haunts lol 😂)

pilates · 23/12/2022 22:41

Exactly right CocoLux trying too hard

Hbh17 · 23/12/2022 22:45

I haven't seen the Netflix documentary so, although I am generally unimpressed with this couple, I can't comment. I am just baffled that anyone would think that "fairytales" happen in real life! They may or may not be in love, the marriage may or may not last, but who knows? In that sense, they are just like the rest of us.
