Awful story just broken on twitter about horrendous racist questioning from Lady Hussey to Ngozi Fulani from Sister Space at yesterdays VAWG event.

Lady Hussey has resigned.

”We take this incident extremely seriously and have investigated immediately to establish the full details.

"In this instance, unacceptable and deeply regrettable comments have been made. We have reached out to Ngozi Fulani on this matter, and are inviting her to discuss all elements of her experience in person if she wishes.

"In the meantime, the individual concerned would like to express her profound apologies for the hurt caused and has stepped aside from her honorary role with immediate effect.

"All members of the Household are being reminded of the diversity and inclusivity policies which they are required to uphold at all times."

I wonder if there was more context as otherwise I just don't get why it even mattered?

It’s excellent that it’s front page news.

Horrendous that things like this (and much worse obviously) are still going on. But it’s a step forward that it’s being publicised and condemned instead of people being expected to put up with it quietly.

I read somewhere that the late Queen's famous "have you come far" was a phrase to avoid "where are you from".

This old racist also had some shitty things to say about H&M.

What was what about it being impossible the royal family have a racism issue?
