Why are people saying the Queen isn't in the coffin?

I keep hearing people suggesting the Queen isn't in the coffin as apparently the same happened with the Queen's grandfather.

Sounds like a load of rubbish to me. It would be insane if she wasn't.

Yes this thread kind of highlights how silly it all is really, how important is it that the body is in there really? If a tree falls in an empty forest, does it make a sound?

I think it’s highly possible that they would. For hygiene reasons. Imagine all those people camped outside to watch an empty box 🙈

Purely because if something did happen - security wise they wouldn't have her body.

But then they'd have to admit it in the end and I'm not sure millions of people will have been happy about bowing to an empty box!

I am not at all paranoid. I do not care if the body is in there or not. But we know there have been lots of lies told.

Yes because half the royals are following an empty box around the country pretending there dead mother/granmother is in it because they have nothing else todo, am sure they would rather be sat at home grieving.

Well yes, but do people really need to be spoon fed to the extent that they can’t work out that if there is a coffin and someone has died, the dead person is in the coffin 😬

I think it's just to clarify its not an open casket isn't it. It would be in some religions/cultures.
