The royal family

Why are people saying the Queen isn't in the coffin?

I keep hearing people suggesting the Queen isn't in the coffin as apparently the same happened with the Queen's grandfather.

Sounds like a load of rubbish to me. It would be insane if she wasn't.

I think it's a real possibility that the Queen isn't in their. We will never know either way.

There is no possiblity of that. And I don't think we need to listen to the opinions of adults who can't spell there.

ClaudineClare · 14/09/2022 09:58

All those people waiting in line for hours to view the coffin would be a bit miffed if it was empty.

I think it's equally stupid to wait hours to see a coffin with someone in tbh.

Also the Royal Family lie to us so much that nobody automatically believes everything about them they are told.

Oh boy! Are you guys really paranoid or something? Been on the Internet again?

Yes this thread kind of highlights how silly it all is really, how important is it that the body is in there really? If a tree falls in an empty forest, does it make a sound?

Lol it's absolute bizarro that this is even a thread. I'm finding this country so mad right now.

There is no way they would go through all this ceremonial stuff with an empty coffin. That's just nonsense.

I think it’s highly possible that they would. For hygiene reasons. Imagine all those people camped outside to watch an empty box 🙈

itsgettingweird · 14/09/2022 20:46

Can't deny I hadn't wondered the same.

Purely because if something did happen - security wise they wouldn't have her body.

But then they'd have to admit it in the end and I'm not sure millions of people will have been happy about bowing to an empty box!

I am not at all paranoid. I do not care if the body is in there or not. But we know there have been lots of lies told.

Deux · 14/09/2022 21:03

A question for those who are doubting the Queen’s body is in the coffin - what proof would you need, what would it take to assuage your doubts?

Genuine question.

Farmerazza · 14/09/2022 21:05

She's not in there. Imagine being paraded across the country like that -

Genuine question.

Whats the difference to her, if the box she is in is stationary, or moves around?

Creameggs223 · 14/09/2022 21:13

Yes because half the royals are following an empty box around the country pretending there dead mother/granmother is in it because they have nothing else todo, am sure they would rather be sat at home grieving.

Haha that made me laugh, are you aware how death works she won't have a clue she is being paraded altho when she was living she would of known this was going to happen.

maddiemookins16mum · 14/09/2022 21:30

Course she is. Anne would never stand for any nonsense.

sashh · 15/09/2022 05:55

I think the problem is the TV coverage, they have spent days talking about 'the Queen's coffin' not about the 'Queen's body' or anything else more accurate.

Well yes, but do people really need to be spoon fed to the extent that they can’t work out that if there is a coffin and someone has died, the dead person is in the coffin 😬

I think it's just to clarify its not an open casket isn't it. It would be in some religions/cultures.

Worriedaboutethics · 15/09/2022 07:32

@PollyPolo

in answer to your first question it’s because they have doing better to do and are very wrong

smilesy · 15/09/2022 07:39

@Mardyface how do you mean? Do you mean they are referring to the coffin to clarify it is not an open casket? I’m not quite following you

Maireas · 15/09/2022 07:40

LongLivedQueen · 14/09/2022 10:00

Because people are stupid and believe any old bullshit they read on Facebook or Tiktok.

Exactly this!

antelopevalley · 14/09/2022 20:50

Such as?

Maireas · 15/09/2022 07:42

sendwineandastraw · 14/09/2022 11:02

I’ve also seen this going about, I’ve also seen people post pictures of a frozen food lorry going through the palace gates on the afternoon of the day of her death and them suggesting it was decoy to get her out without the theatre.

Who knows?!

We all know.
She's in the coffin.
Otherwise it's utter sacrilege to have all the religious ceremonies.

LadyFromage · 15/09/2022 07:46

I am enjoying the idea that someone might want to kidnap a decaying old corpse that is going to be a bugger to carry... and having to remove and set aside a priceless crown of diamonds that is easily grabbed, to get to it Grin

Maireas · 15/09/2022 07:49

@LadyFromage 😂😂
It all gets bonkers, doesn't it?

Farmerazza · 15/09/2022 08:08

Andromachehadabadday · 14/09/2022 21:07

To her nothing now she's not here, but that might not have been her wish before death. So the box may be empty.
What difference does it make to everyone if she's in there or not? It's an open casket thing is it? People are just in a queue to see a box.

Exactly. There's no way she would have played along with it.
