Here is previous thread.

I've started a new thread because today and tomorrow is crucial as far as the pending civil case.

And I also had a few comments I wanted to say to posters at the end of the last thread, but it ran out.

@KittenCatcher

I thought this thread was about PA and the VG case but it just sounds like a RF bashing thread now
They are so many in number and such easy targets, it's almost impossible not to digress.

Back to the main man PA: when will the poor old British taxpayer be seeing his full financial disclosures? And I wonder which Central Asian despot will be buying the Verbier chalet.

Roussette · 09/01/2022 19:10

I shall start a new thread soon. Tomorrow could well be a key day for PA if it's decided that tthe case goes forward, or is dropped.

Thanks @Roussette

Redshoeblueshoe · 09/01/2022 19:11

Didn't we think that last week ?

NiceShrubbery · 09/01/2022 19:12

Thanks Roussette. Bonne chance Virginia.

SerendipityJane · 09/01/2022 19:13

The Queen did her usual thing of following protocol

What's the point of being monarch if you can set new protocols ?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 09/01/2022 19:13

I wonder which Central Asian despot will be buying the Verbier chalet

And for how much ... ? Hmm

Remembering that Sunningdale went for about £3 million over the asking price, he could make an absolute packet of of this couldn't he?

RoyalFamilyFan · 09/01/2022 19:15

@SerendipityJane The Queen reportedly believes in changing nothing unless you really have to.

If you have a royal family, and one of the members acts in this way precisely because they are royal then it's fair game to call the whole rotten institution into question.
RoyalFamilyFan · 09/01/2022 19:15

Philip was the moderniser.

Vapeyvapevape · 09/01/2022 19:16

Remembering that Sunningdale went for about £3 million over the asking price

Why was that ? I know a couple of extra million is small change to these people but why pay over the asking price, unless there was a bidding war I suppose.

SerendipityJane · 09/01/2022 19:20

Maybe time to elect a new one.

Oh, hang on ...

If you really want to trigger my ire, then try telling me "that's the way we've always done it" is in any way a justification for anything.

Women can't vote.

Well, we'd love to change that, but it's always been like that so ... no can do.

Artificially inflated sale price because nobody else would buy it and PA in debt due to debauched lifestyle.

Or recompense for PA's legendary "door-opening" skills with Middle Eastern monarchs.

CurzonDax · 09/01/2022 19:21

@Vapeyvapevape

because they were worried the public might throw things at the RF and the boys there would stop that happening I never knew that was one of the reasons !
I never knew that either. Regardless of people's opinions to how the Queen, or anyone else in the RF, responded to Diana's death, I am absolutely disgusted that anyone would even think about throwing things at others at a funeral.

How disrespectful would that have been to her memory, but also to her grieving children, and the rest of her family an friends who were mourning her.

Roussette · 09/01/2022 19:23

There was no bidding war. It was sold to a Kazakstahn oligarch who he'd had dealings with. The money was paid to an opaque company in the Virgin Islands for £3M over the asking price, I presume that was PA's backhander.

The owner then let it fall into decay. For years. Until he knocked it down.

Here is the story about it. Sorry it's the DM, but even they find it extremely murky. It must be bad then.

This article speculates as to why PA was paid over the odds for Sunningdale Vapeyvaoevape by a Kazakh oligarch.

Here's the new thread. No hurry, 30 odd posts to go on here Smile

I hope the judge hurries up and makes a decision, cynical me wonders if he's negotiating a bribe from PA's lot to throw it out.

Latticeallure88 · 09/01/2022 19:31

Indeed Rousette not normally a fan of the DM but I thought that was quite an interesting exposé!

Totally agree with that MaliaHilaria

Talk abouyt own goals lately. Too many of them. We cannot discuss PA and the case without discussion on the RF at the same time. Too intertwined not to...
Who pays the legal bills
Why has PA still held on to his military titles
Will SF be telling everyone what an honourable man he is

And so on...
