Ah, thanks. When I read some of the excerpts, the 70th birthday pic 'revelations' struck me as particularly cruel. The photos are supposed to capture a happy, family day and mark Charles' milestone, and the book tried to undermine all of that. It seemed very mean-spirited. I sometimes wonder how we've managed to produce a generation of Omid's age who are so selfish, so entitled and so lacking in respect and compassion. The book he has written, the interviews he has given - sit firmly in that Twitter warrior generation that doesn't understand history, social context or niceties.

@BottomOfMyPencilCase wonderful post. Agree with everything you say. And Omid Scobie would be the first to accuse people of being cruel. He should take a long hard look within himself.

If I was Charles, I’d take legal action against OS and see what he has to say in court about who his sources are.

Isn't Scobie a royal correspondent for some publication? If this is the case I do hope he is not expecting to get any access to RF members except H&M.

I think like some others he only likes covering some of the royal events/characters.

I can't imagine any of the remaining members of the RF will be keen to meet him. Although I am not sure if he has actually met any of the others or all his knowledge is from his sources/twitter?

I don't think they'll be allowed to carry on with charity work and working professionally in the UK. Is that not what the half in half out deal was which was rejected by the Queen.

@BottomOfMyPencilCase Excellent post. I look at Scobie and I just despair for the future. But then I look at all the perfectly sensible, kind young people that I actually know and things don’t seem so bad.
