I’m supposed to be studying but this thread is just too irresistible Mustress Smile

Bluntness I'm pointing out that we don't know something . I'm unhappy about people assuming something and using the assumption as a fact .

Either believe the whole story or believe none of it ?I'm perfectly entitled to believe that H&M attended a JP Morgan event .

I don't know which one of them spoke ,what was said ,how much they were paid if anything, and I'm perfectly entitled to challenge others assumptions about those unknowns

You think that's nonsensical . Odd .

mrscampbellblackagain · 23/02/2020 18:20

The getting loads of money for Instagram posts - what exactly would they be promoting? Flat tummy tea?

And its not very A list is it? I don't see Jennifer Aniston flogging stuff on her insta.

Bluntness100 · 23/02/2020 18:20

Well to be fair perditio, all we can do is go with what’s being reported in the press. It’s not like they or the queen is phoning any of us personally to tell us.

Your posts come across like you’re desperately trying to defend the indefensible.

DandyRaven · 23/02/2020 18:22

Bluntness Speak for yourself, I get telegrams from the Queen updating me.
Wink

There has been a whole lot of that on this site since the prince’s wife entered the arena. Given recent developments, particularly the big escape, I’m surprised to find even a lone voice calling out from the wilderness.

TheMustressMhor · 23/02/2020 18:25

My inbox is overflowing with emails from the Queen.

Dandy and Mustress Grin

TheMustressMhor · 23/02/2020 18:28

I always think of the Channel Four characterisation of Fergie (in The Windsors) where she is forever trying to flog her Juicers.

And I imagine Meghan trying to do something similar...….

OP posts:
DandyRaven · 23/02/2020 18:33

“Flog her juicers” sounds a bit... fruity.

NumbersStation · 23/02/2020 18:33

I am glad you received them @TheMustressMhor

If you would be so kind as to reply in a more timely manner in future I would be so very much obliged.

SenecaFallsRedux · 23/02/2020 18:36

The height of ridiculousness is this somewhat oft-repeated notion that the Queen has custody rights to Archie. For one thing, he is an American citizen. The idea that the Queen would assert such rights, even if they existed, is truly laughable.

TheMustressMhor · 23/02/2020 18:39

My apologies NumbersStation.

I am very busy these days. Please pass on to Her Majesty the fact that I beg to remain her most obedient servant.

Or something.

OP posts:
mrscampbellblackagain · 23/02/2020 18:40

I don't think anyone really thinks the Queen would seek to try and get custody of Archie. She doesn't strike as the most maternal of women. I know different times etc.

I do think that statement rings more of Harry than Meghan - the tone is just petulant. I think Meghan is more savvy where as Harry won't necessarily be thinking of the long game.

TheMustressMhor · 23/02/2020 18:41

I have just had the most sublime home-made peach crumble.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 23/02/2020 18:47

I'm really sorry that happened to you, Catherine, but I found it refreshing when HQ posted to confirm that attempts to get these threads closed really were happening - especially when some concerned had roundly denied it. Happily, everyone seems to have got wise to this now, and instead of rising to the bait and allowing threads to be derailed, more just scroll by and ignore

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 23/02/2020 18:50

That’s so nasty for you Catherine

Andylion · 23/02/2020 18:57

Regarding their Instagram account, I follow them and the Cambridges, (KensintonRoyal). As you might know, IG tells you that someone you follow also follows other accounts you follow.

It appears that the Sussexes do not follow the Cambridges, while the Cambridges do follow the Sussexes. As does Dan Levy of Schitt's Creek.

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 23/02/2020 19:06

Archie has duel citizenship which means that he could technically be Prime Minister and President. He is also 7th in line to the throne. World domination right there folks.

He can't be President as he wasn't born on American soil

RoseAndRose · 23/02/2020 19:09

While there is not any jurisdiction by The Monarchy or Cabinet Office over the use of the word ‘Royal’ overseas

But I wonder if there is in Canada, given that she is head of state there too?

When they talked about 'Government' restrictions, they didn't specify which government.

OVienna · 23/02/2020 19:14

Lyra you do not need to be born on American soul to be President. There is a certificate you get at an embassy when you register them which deals with this. My kids have it.

OVienna · 23/02/2020 19:14

Sorry, soil.

TheMustressMhor · 23/02/2020 19:19

So I could actually be President, if enough people voted for me?

OP posts:
CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 23/02/2020 19:20

Yes @Puzzledandpissedoff MN mods have got wise to it, which is very refreshing agree.
Thanks@CanIHaveATiaraPlease.

O'vienna why was there so much speculation about Obama's right to be president then? I thought that was what it was about

Yes Archie could really be king of the world. Thinking about it in that light he is worth whatever security needs must I suppose.
