Take on role at new organisation despite being warned that it might not be quite what you expect. Come in all excited to be a “new broom” full of ideas about doing things differently. When it doesn’t work out, blame the organisation.
I know I said we mainly differed on whether or not she faced racism and press intrusion but this did highlight another difference.
I don't think there was anything wrong with ignoring warnings. She could have heard those warnings and thought no, I won't give up on him if I love him, I'll marry him and we can try and change it together from inside.
So maybe she's not flaky, or covering up, or greedy just over-optimistic but well intentioned. I'm glad they chose each other, and are still choosing each other.
