So the saga continues
Thé Canadians are not happy about paying for the Sussexes security

I think that will be their downfall. They can’t actually fund the cost of their «freedom»
Other security experts saying that the cost of 24/7 private security is about £4million per year.

Problem is; they have skipped the a Royal fold, and have to pay the real cost of their security and accommodation . They will have to sell every aspect of their Lives to fund this.

As an actress who can apparently film a scene and remember lines, I found it strange that for 5 mins she could not stand still on the balcony and sing the National Anthem while looking forward. She behaved worse than a 5 year old.

If I had been her DH, I would have been extremely irritated. Perhaps she knew that?

Meghan spotted leaving Vancouver island for Vancouver. Today I think

It’s been done before, Ronald Reagan an actor made it happen, and the only thing stopping Arnold Schwarzenegger was he wasn’t US born.

Ronald Reagan may have been an actor but he had served two terms as Governor of California. So he was not completely inexperienced in politics.

IrmaFayLear · 14/01/2020 21:34

I think "second row on the balcony" is the term for what her role in the royal family was to be. And cleary that Wasn't Acceptable.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 14/01/2020 21:35

I never said she was an Oscar winner. I was referring to that fact plenty of actors/actresses (even ones who've won Oscars) have done tacky stuff in the past.

Is it not possible to change your viewpoint on things during your life?
Meghan may have done the ad just for the money, maybe she wasn't really a feminist, maybe she thought wtf, maybe she's lovely in real life, maybe she's a monster, maybe Harry is the monster, maybe he's a stupid doormat.
We don't know the whole truth unless we are actually involved in the entire situation.
Or maybe one of us posters is Kate, HMQ, royal household etc anonymously spilling some of the beans.

Bluerussian · 14/01/2020 21:35

The Sussexes have approximately £44m between them, some of which will be well invested and earn them more money, so there is no reason to suppose they won't pay for their own security when in Canada. Plenty of well off people pay for security.

Sorry ,what reads like a veiled threat ?Apologies if I've missed something!

Ah, you need to be more like the RF: never apologise, never explain.

The Tom Bradby thing seemed like a veiled threat to me. It really doesn't matter if you don't see it in the same way - we're all entitled to our own opinions here (within MN guidelines).

Andylion · 14/01/2020 21:36

Unrelated points:

  1. Harvey was the best thing about Suits.
  1. Hundreds of working actresses have had to do cheap/ tacky jobs like the hamburger video. No criticism of Meghan for that from me.
  1. The narcissist site says that Meghan lived in a poor area of Toronto. It might not the Bridle Path or Frogmore Cottage, but her house was not in a poor neighbourhood.
JulietJanuary · 14/01/2020 21:37

Ronnie Reagan's first move after acting was to become head of the Screen Actors Guild.

BillieEilish · 14/01/2020 21:38

Completely a veiled threat!

SpinneyHill · 14/01/2020 21:38

Who does she keep dumping the baby on then?

Andylion · 14/01/2020 21:39

Fun fact: Reagan was a Democrat before becoming a Republican.

IrmaFayLear · 14/01/2020 21:40

What's she up to? She's on that great big property in a secluded location... isn't that what they want?

Escaping to Canada for privacy my Aunt Fanny.

She will get bored being a sahm mum I suspect. There’s only a certain amount of baby rhyme time and yoga with the mommies you can stomach.

Who does she keep dumping the baby on then?

According to an article in today's Times, Jessica Mulroney helped out with child care over Christmas.

Alsohuman · 14/01/2020 21:43

Who does she keep dumping the baby on then?

The nanny presumably.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 14/01/2020 21:44

Fun fact in the past Donald Trump has been an affiliated Democrat, Republican & an independent.
Suppose it depended on what mood he was in that year.

BillieEilish · 14/01/2020 21:46

I love these fun facts! Keep 'em coming!

derxa · 14/01/2020 21:48

She will get bored being a sahm mum I suspect. There’s only a certain amount of baby rhyme time and yoga with the mommies you can stomach. She won't have bothered with any of that 'nonsense'

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 14/01/2020 21:49

Seren no reason why Meghan couldn’t follow the same path as Ronald, from little acorns........

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 14/01/2020 21:49

I wonder if the nanny is American.
Would be a bugger if she applied for a job in Windsor and got sent to west Canada.
I think this has been planned, at least by Meghan, for a good year.
Those lawsuits against newspapers were filed before Archie was born.

How do people know she didn't like being at the back on the balcony?
Has she ever publicly stated that?
