Ghostie is making very serious biscuits tonight. I think it is a counteraction to the madness of Fred who is determined to throw and murder all his toys.

I'm missing little FC loads. She would usually be snuggled up with me at this time: yes, I allowed her to sleep in my bed, despite her having her own bed (which she sniffed at about twice and then ignored). Her bed has gone with her, but I hope she isn't fretting. I didn't feel I could really tell her new owner to let her sleep in bed with him!

Basil is such a dramatic-looking cat. And Ghostie making biscuits is adorable. Very determined look in the eyes too.

Oh @Kirova I hope you managed to get some sleep without FC. I'm sure she'll have her new owner trained very quickly to let her sleep on the bed.

I hate sleeping without at least one cat on the bed. I'm going to stay with my dad soon and he doesn't have any cats, plus the dog isn't allowed in the bedrooms. I'll probably miss the cats more than they'll miss me!

@Kirova - I don't think I could ever be a foster because I'd want to keep all of them. 🤣
I'm sorry you're missing your latest but you've clearly done a great job with her - and I hope that Bitey Cat will prove as amenable.
You do a really important job for these cats - please keep it up.

Crikey Broon for someone living in retirement in a bit of a remote area of Scotland, your life is full of excitement and drama, and that's just the cats!

Hope you are ok @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne and that your son is OK? Did he get a diagnosis?
In other news we left the door of the "safe" room open overnight (we had just been leaving it open during the day) and Micia is now sitting on the top landing. I have given her breakfast up there!
Unfortunately I took a much loved cashmere jumper out of a drawer in the safe room to find it had been eaten by moths! I am going to have to treat the whole house- difficult with a new and nervous cat

Great news about Micia - She'll be sleeping on your bed in no time!

Hmm. This morning, he came to church. I've never seen him there before.
He stayed for a cup of tea afterwards and regaled us with the story of how he proposed to his wife on the Isle of Skye, wearing his kilt.
It all seemed terribly unlikely to me but who knows?

Foster cat has apparently settled in, mauled a few houseplants, upended the bin and got to sleep on a human bed. So it sounds like she is happy enough! She was already exploring all the rooms and chomping on her biscuits when I moved her over, so she doesn't appear to be particularly shy or traumatised.

The finger biter is arriving at 6pm-ish.

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne could you not train Gizmo to see these men off, if they are bothering you? Or also Linney, but Gizmo has a more intimidating appearance.

@Breadcat24 Micia is definitely warming up! You are doing so well... It must be very upsetting to have a cat so afraid. Poor thing, she will hopefully overcome her early experiences.

Micia leaned into me stroking her head today. We will take any crumb of affection we get as long a she is happy enough

I think a silent movie, starting from the Thugcat days. With that kind of "villain ties girl to train tracks as train approaches" music as he attempts to break and enter Grumpy's house.

And then a flip to sad violin music as he slinks away into the rain, rejected and alone.

I'm waiting to hear who will be cast as me 🤣.

I don’t watch TV so my range of suggestions is limited, but I’m tempted by Zoe Wanamaker for Broon.

He is not really an actor, but the German trombone-playing man from Bake Off (Jürgen, I think) is kind of how I imagine TC's previous dad.

Jaunty, happy music as Grumpy's other cats run through the door into the feline utopia, and a sudden switch to a minor key as the door closes in TC's face and he prowls off to try a window instead.

We need a director.
Having seen Wuthering Heights yesterday, I would be interested to see what Emerald Fennell makes of it!

Is there a touch of Heathcliff about Gizmo? Both the ominous invader & the lonely little boy?
