I'm WFH today, so Agatha is both pleased that I'm up nice and early (compared to being on holiday/ away) and angry that I'm working (when not here!) and not available for lap sitting / head scritches. Still no photo uploads, but she's currently bombing around.

Matilda and Boris are coming to join the expedition as soon as Matilda rises from her lair and Boris finishes second breakfast.

I've heard that Gizmo and Linnie are on the hunt for 'She who must not be named' as well.

For those in the UK that experienced snow today: how did your cats take to it?
I have regular feline visitors, two handsome black cats which live further down the street, they appeared last summer. They are friendly, but hunters.
So, they came into my garden this morning and were going bonkers: dashing about, pouncing on nothing, chasing each other, and even rolling in the snow!
I have never seen cats actively enjoying snow before so wondered if this was rare?

I seem to remember @Esgaroth sharing pics of Kettle in the snow but I think they’re outside the UK.

It was snowing when I got up this morning but Kitty was still in bed.

@Pudmyboy, she hasn’t been outside for a week! She stopped going outside for the necessities about 3 years ago (aged 16-17) and now has a minimum temperature requirement before setting foot outside.

all our cats stopped doing their business outdoors at a similar age so it must be an age vulnerability thing

Happy new year from Louie! We have a LOT of snow here and he is furious. (This was it just starting yesterday.) He’s bored out of his nut because he’s - sensibly - refusing to go out, and we keep having a pantomime of going to the back door to check if it’s gone. For the first time since it went up, he's just hauled a little animal off the Christmas tree and battered it around the living room.

The weather app says “feels like -12”.

Wilson is ready for anything, as usual.
