Yes, we're okay.
The garden has taken a battering and some plant pots have fallen over.
Linney decided to spend the storm at the home of the man who calls him The White One. This is the bloke who famously fed Gizmo on sardines, milk and dog biscuits. I hope he didn't feed Linney the same noxious mixture.

It's decidedly chilly and the fire is on.

It doesn't seem like August.

Hope there's no damage, we've missed most of it here in the Midlands. It's lovely that Linney is keeping your neighbour company during the storm. Hope there aren't any unfortunate litter tray incidents as a result though. Having to put the fire on in August seems extreme, but I guess that's rural Scotland for you.

Where did Gizmo spend the storm? Agree it's kind of Linney to keep your neighbour company but I hope Linney's digestion is tougher than Gizmo's....

Poor Stripey just had a traumatic experience. DH was checking all the doors before going to bed and found her cowering outside on the patio miaowing pitifully.

She obviously went out through the catflap (which I had taped open earlier and it was like that most of the day) - neither of them have gone through it before, so when I took the tape off I didn’t realise she was outside. Then she didn’t know how to get back in. She was lucky not to get stuck out there all night!

She has gone to hide behind the piano now and Snowcat has gone to look after her.

Gizmo spent the storm fast asleep on our bed.

Pa Broon picked Suzy up and carried her to the front door. She purred.

I walked past Gizmo, who was still outraged, and he swiped at my leg, growled, and bared his teeth at me.

Like it was my fault that Suzy popped in through the open window.

Absolutely fine. Linney is generally very chilled.

That reminds me, I think Linney is Mr August on the Cats & Dragons calendar. White again, but fluffier than Snowcat.

Ah yes, he told me he'd posed for that picture.

If any cat deserved to be featured in a calendar it's Linney. He's survived more than one Scotland related storm, he's somehow managed to get on with Gizmo, despite his antisocial tendances, Suzy hasn't managed to turn him into a vampire and he's survived your neighbours mackerel/ dog biscuits related diet. He is truly epic.

I'm keeping my eye out for a 2026 version of the calendar, definitely going on my Christmas list.
