Finlay is home n helping with Lego after 2 days AWOL (Viking village for Lego fans)
I even managed to get him to stay long enough to charge his tracker

Does Finlay need a bigger bed? I do love the way he sleeps on the table whilst you are crafting 😻

JaceLancs · 03/08/2025 02:02

@Pudmyboy - I think the same! Nearly bought him the banana bed last week but he loves his slipper so much and is very fussy so thought he might reject it
He does have a proper enclosed bed but it’s too big for the desk

It used to fit better!

Hello!

Please may I join? I have 3 (all rescue) - Bubble and Squeak (allegedly littermates) and Missy, who is older and from a different home
This is Squeak fighting my newspaper this morning

I've been spending a rainy afternoon working on Kettle's portrait. I had to take a break from it to finish something else but it's coming on again now. Kettle appears unimpressed.

Baby Finlay is so cute! I couldn't see what type of slipper he was sitting on in the other photos. I'm still really impressed you managed to train him to stay on his slipper while you're assembling Lego. Mine are both chaos gremlins when I get any kind of Lego or jigsaw out.

That's looking amazing. Is it just going to be his head or full Kettle? How many colours does he have and what size is it going to be? Sorry for all the questions, please feel free to ignore them I love a cross stitch. I definitely need to make one of Boris and Matilda. I'll let that motivate me to do the boring job of researching which new phone I want to buy, so I can take a decent picture of them.

Just the head and a bit of chest - I can't be bothered to do the whole cat! It's about 11,500 stitches and 19 separate colours including 5 shades of orange. The plan is to frame it in an A4 size frame. 30% done so far!

A4 sounds like a bit of a challenge, but doable. I'm terrible for going I want it in the maximum size and number of thread colours I can have. I need to get my reading glasses sorted out as well, the last pair from Specsavers were completely useless.

He jolly well ought to be impressed! Kitty & I have been gardening. I trimmed the dead flowers off her plants & she played with them.

This is her official new favourite bed. I may have to get myself another duvet.

Went to Beale Wildlife Park (near Reading) recently.
A gorgeous family of NMOs live there.

Otter? Opossum? Orang-utang? Octopus?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 03/08/2025 20:23

And I saw this at a market today and felt I could closely relate to it 🤣

Those otters are seriously cute.

Vixie has been extremely clingy all weekend. I am currently trying to watch something on TV and enjoy a glass of wine, both of which are difficult with a sleeping cat draped across my shoulders.

Hopefully the otter pictures have now turned up.al Actually they are a family of NMASCOs - but I thought that might be a bit too much 🤣.

stormsandsunshine · 03/08/2025 23:05

Otters are perhaps my favourite animals (don’t tell the cats)

Welcome! You may need to repost your cat tax photos, as nothing has appeared so far, and we are all keen to see your feline family 😻

Pianoaholic · 04/08/2025 09:44

Yes, we can never have too many cat photos here!
I love your embroidery @Esgaroth.
The otters are gorgeous! I remember years ago taking the kids to a butterfly farm and otter sanctuary in Buckfastleigh.
Herbie has been guarding the recycling box. A very important task.
