Suzy hasn't managed to turn him into a vampire

Did she try???

Bumping because this is a story I really want to hear!

I think this is because Suzy used to have very impressive fangs.

Here she is in April 2024.

And then she lost one fang.
This was taken in October 2024

And now she seems too have lost both of them.
She wouldn't keep still enough yesterday for me to take a picture, but she's definitely lost them both.

Sybil is enjoying a sunny patch of her camouflage zone.

What would happen if you stroked her tum-tum?

She's very happy to have her tum stroked. I did take advantage 😻

Poor Suzy.

Sybil passes on her regards to Suzy as well.
She only has a fang and a half...

Gizmo is definitely acting like a kitten.

Whether it's because he's revelling in the joys of being up in the wilds of Scotland rather than very close to the crowding and bustle of London, or because he's going senile and going through his second kittenhood, I'll leave you to decide!

EmpressaurusKitty · 07/08/2025 07:30

I expect Gizmo’s trying to stay flexible, that’s very sensible of him.

Does anyone else’s cat sometimes sound as if they’re singing? Kitty chatters sometimes with meows on several different notes.

I had a cat called Buster who sang.

He could nearly sing chords, which is of course impossible, but the various notes were so close to one another, it sounded like two together sometimes.

Had a cat who "sang" especially when DS played mouthorgan perhaps he was trying to make DS stop

Lived til he was 19. Next door neighbour who bred Siamese, thought he had some Siamese in him because of his voice and long thin shape.

RumNotRun · 07/08/2025 15:02

If anyone is on FB, there's a female cat called Merv the Cat who talks. She also has a crush on the downstairs human Charles.

EmpressaurusKitty · 07/08/2025 17:57

I had a foster whose yowls wouldn’t have been out of place in grand opera with their volume & expression.

She went to a friend of mine & now rules the household.

Esgaroth · 07/08/2025 18:37

Kettle hardly meows at all, but when he does it's when he's overcome with excitement about his dinner.

That's another similarity between Kettle and Herbie-Herbie rarely miaows much apart from when he's waiting for his food.
The only other time is when we pick him up from the cattery.

I loved your description of the cat choir.
