Penelope is actually using a bed for the first time!! I’ve realised that she’s not keen on fleece fabric. (Unlike all my others) so took it out. Just need to get her into
the teepee now.

Ooh, I lost your thread for ages, glad I have found it again and that Pen is doing well.

Penelope spotted a Robin in the garden. She tells me she’s an apex predator. I don’t think the Robin had much to worry about. Unless it’s the same one that would taunt Cheddar.

Penelope is saying ‘you’re lucky I’m this side of the window. If I was outside…!’

My colleague was selling a bath board thing. Penelope approves. She has taken over Cheddar’s role as XL bathroom supervisor!

It’s the first anniversary of Cheddar’s death tomorrow. So it was really lovely to be reminded of her by Penelope. I still miss her terribly. She really was the most fabulous cat I have ever met. I can’t believe I was so lucky to have her.

Guarding my phone charger!

So I cancelled the fancy food subscription, as madam only eats the gravy. 🙄🙄 and ordered some Different variety’s of Thrive. As she inhales the tuna flavour. I have no doubt that the spoilt madam will suddenly go off that as well. All my other persons have been compliant, lazy, non jumpers who were not fussy about food. (None of them liked wet food) so not sure what’s happened with Penelope 😂😂

She is looking very well, relaxed and happy. With her cloud of expressive whiskers. Yes, I know the dry chunks left behind, abandoned in the dish. All traces of liquor loving licked clean.

She gone so vocal and very bossy since the weather improved. She reminds me so much of the late Maia, she just issued orders, with no discussion, unlike the late Cheddar who you could have a full conversation with and had an opinion on everything. 😹😹😹

She’s eaten the whole pouch I put out this morning. 🙄

Penelope, my toes are not your toys. You have lots of them and you don’t touch them. Also my jeans are not a scratch post. You have one of those too!

She likes her new fancy pants, super expensive basket. It’s for trips to my mum
and dad. It’s got isofix. Apparently it fits animals up to 9kg. She’s 2.6kg and only just fits in!

Penelope reminds me so much of my persian who sadly passed about 2 weeks after Cheddar last year. She was about 15 years old (rescue so not entirely sure), had kidney disease and I knew it was coming as she went downhill quite rapidly over the final month. She was long haired, grey and white and an absolute diva! She was another one who cost a fortune in vet bills over the years...

I've not got another cat yet, I'm not ready and the timing isn't right. But I love seeing your pictures of Penelope and hearing how she is doing. I think she has converted me, I could well be on the look out for an exotic rather than another long hair when I'm ready!
