Yes I think so! She has been all over my parents this week. They could believe the difference in her. I had the boiler serviced to day. And Cheddar loved helping with it. The first thing the plumber asked, was how are the cats And he was really looking forward to seeing Cheddar. 😰 Penelope supervised from under the bed. She was watching closely, rather than hiding. So that's massive for her. Her usual morning routine is to stay under the bed. So it was fairly normal for her.

A secret supervisor? They are the absolute worst. Advise the boilerman to bring dreamies next time so she doesn't write him a bad customer report 😂

And sorry about Cheddar. It's weird how the little things can take you right back 💕

@Pixiedust1234 I'd actually put off booking because of Cheddar helping him. Penelope doesn't like Dreemies. Weirdo!

Was looking for this picture to post earlier. Then the plumber sent it too me. She really was the most fabulous cat you could meet.

What a lovely photo! ❤

Toddlerteaplease · 16/02/2025 22:28

I'm sure she wasn't as helpful as she liked to think!

Moral support goes a long way.

Toddlerteaplease · 24/02/2025 19:28

Penelope, darling, my trousers are not your scratching post. And you sitting mon my shoulder when I'm trying to write an assignment is really not helpful.

I think you've offended her...

Toddlerteaplease · 24/02/2025 21:16

I'll offend her even more tomorrow. She needs her back claws clipping, and won't allow me to do or. Although I'd get her ears checked at the same time. (She's scratching them
A bit). So she's going to see her favourite vet.

She's the best she's ever been, and is like it to stay that way!

Room her to get her ears check. She had an infection in her right ear. That has come back positive for 'rod bacteria' do we need to go back to the vet later to get a swab to send to the lab. Typical Penelope.

She's now lying on me looking extremely smug that she's just cost £175

OP posts:
Ellmau · 26/02/2025 07:08

Of course. She's worth every penny :)

Toddlerteaplease · 26/02/2025 08:56

I have no doubt it will be some really rare bug, never before seen in cats. Particularly as her ears are not insured! This is Penelope after all.

Pixiedust1234 · 26/02/2025 15:22

Get your money's worth. Ask the vet how, why, where and prevention methods for any future contamination, and any self help medications. (Seriously though, how?!?!)

Then sit Penelope in the naughty corner and tell her calmly and gently that any more ear nonsense will result in her losing ear privileges. 😼

Toddlerteaplease · 28/02/2025 22:11

I'm trying Miss Fusypants on Lidl own brand wet food. She usually turns her tiny nose up at anything other than Sheba in gravy. But this appears to be going down well. Ideally I'd prefer her to have better quality wet food. But she is having none of it. 🙄

Madam has grown Pasturella in her ears. She's going to have 10 days of drops then re swab. It's a respiratory virus. Which makes sense, as she's blowing snot everywhere.

OP posts:
Pixiedust1234 · 01/03/2025 23:08

And who or what gave her the virus? Has madam been gallivanting outside and came upon a thug who viciously attacked her while she was minding her own business? I had a quick google (yeah yeah, never trust google, I know) and it said from infected wounds or bites.

Hope she starts to feel better soon 💕

Toddlerteaplease · 02/03/2025 06:25

I think it's what Magic had after she lost her eye. But can't remember for certain. This is Penelope, so who knows!! She's currently on my bed looking very smug. The drops need ordering and are £50 a bottle!

Penelope is not speaking too me, as she's had her first dose of ear drops, and even worse, we've run out of lil e lix. I may not survive the night. 🤣🤣

OP posts:
Toddlerteaplease · 06/03/2025 11:51

I think the drops are doing the trick. Although she looks really scraggy as they are oily and all over her head. 😆😆 but she's back to shouting at me.

My sister came round, expecting cuddles with Pen. However she said she looked evil. Then complained when Pen refused to come out from under the bed!

How are her ears now?

I thought Penelope loved your family, or is it just storytime with mum that she likes?
