Pen has had her first stage dental today. Picking her up at 5. Apparently she needs “a few” teeth out in stage 2. I dread to think how many that is!

Minimum of 3, but there are about 5 more to be reassessed. Err I’ve just paid £300 for you to tell me how many are dodgy. Just take the bloody things out!

In true Penelope style, they need the head dentist to review the x rays as they are worried that removing some teeth may cause trauma to the jaw. 🙄

I am a bit embarrassed to say to my first thought was “Poor Penelope!”

She’s fine! She’s having her teeth done a week on Monday. Which is a bit awkward as she’s going to the cattery on the Wednesday. But if she’s not right, I’ll cancel or delay it. Only going to my parents and a party in Liverpool. Which is why she can’t go with me.

Madam has been shouting at me all evening to make the rain stop. My fault apparently.

She might also be annoyed you haven’t got the garden up to her standard. 😂

@learieonthewildmoori have told her that the reason the garden is. It not her standard is because of HER teeth.

Madam has been in the cattery for a few days. They messaged me today they were really proud of how confident she was. Apparently she greeted some visitors to the carttery. She’s usually very shy of strangers. Since getting her home she’s seemed like a different girl. Uber affectionate, and very vocal. Hopefully taking her teeth out has done her good.

Good to hear Pen is doing so well. And how lovely that Pads is happily settled.

Pen was ‘helping’ with the Christmas present wrapping.

Left Pen in the care of my parents who are visiting, while I worked last night. I clearly told them that she had been fed. But if she squawks then to give lik e lix or cat milk. They couldn’t find the treats and didn’t know the milk regime. So gave her another tin of thrive. I fed her as normal when I got home this Morning my mum said: “oh we’ve fed her”. Madam is looking very smug, she’s finally learning to cat.

She’s had her vaccinations today and the vet was very happy with her. (Makes a change!)

She does look well.

My mum was happier then Pen is coming along on Boxing Day, than she is at seeing me!

After two years I’ve finally accepted that Penelope isn’t going to touch Magic and Maia’s teepee and put it away. Feel a bit sad about it, they loved it. cheddar used it occasionally, but Pen won’t use any beds.

Did the poor neglected mite get any? That second photo, where she cannot quite believe the food was directed to a mouth other than hers.

No she didn’t! I would have let her try a bit of the sauce on my finger. My parents are cat sitting while I’m at work tonight. Last time she got two dinners and two breakfasts. I said she could have lik e lix or milk as a treat. My mum Asked if she could have both!

I can see why she likes having them look after her. :)
