She was gorgeous, definitely sounds like Penelope. She looks like she definitely knew her place in the
pecking order!

Not a fluke!

Washed my Lourdes T shirts yesterday and left them in an Ikea bag ready to iron. Guess where Penelope spent the night….. good job she’s adorable.

Oh I bet she gets away with murder with that sweet face of hers! I'm guessing with her short hair she at least hasn't coated your laundry in a thick layer of fur that no amount of re-washing or brushing will ever remove......as you say, good job they are adorable!!

@MissyPudsmy long haired girls didn’t shed anything like what she does and their hair didn’t stick.

Madam appears to be enjoying her holiday. My sister has made a very rude remark about the number of chins she has.

Agree, your sister is very rude! Penelope really is looking in excellent health and content these days. She has such a lovely face, bless her.

Yep. She usually looks martyred during previous stays. But she looks really chilled. When I asked if she’d settled, they said she’d been moving things around on the ground floor of her chalet. Which is unusual as she doesn’t play with toys.

I think madam enjoyed her holiday. The cattery commented how much more confident she is. She refused point blank to be put in her carrier and turned into an eel. She’s been very clingy and super affectionate since we got home. She was spooning with me last night. Which is adorable. Although I’d forgotten how demanding she is. 😂😂

Bought a new recliner for the garden. Madam is puzzled. Although she’s now happily sitting on my knee. She had never liked by egg chair! (Please excuse the very scruffy pyjamas)

So sweet! I'm glad she enjoyed her holiday. Puds used to ignore me for a good 3-4 hrs every time I came back from a holiday before eventually coming for a cuddle.

I suspect Pen is wondering where you are going to sit once she has claimed the new recliner for herself.

Pen has just been communing with a gorgeous black kitten through the window. Kitten was sitting on the storage box. Pen was very interested, but didn’t seem at all upset or scared. I tried to talk to the kitten but it’s very shy!

Just thought that Magic and Maia would have gone absolutely ballistic that there was an intruder on their property!

Yes. I wondered that. Or she knew there was glass between them. I was surprised by her total lack of a reaction, other than interest. No noise.

Maybe a small kitten would be the way to go. (Not planning anything) so she can dominate it from the start. Because she’s so tiny it’s tricky to find smallish cats.
I spoke to the insurance company about the massive hole in my premium, and they said that if they’ve had a large number of claims for that particular breed, it increases the prices. I said it was probably caused by all my cats. 😂

Maybe it is the glass between them that makes her feel less threatened. My Puds would interact with the baby foxes who came up to the kitchen window, although she made a point of ignoring the adult foxes or other cats that came into the garden. I really don't think she would have been so brave if anything had come into the house, or anything bigger than her anyway. I'd always know when there was a spider in the house as she'd be sitting next to it making eyes and flirting!

Ten years ago today I became a crazy cat lady. Magic & Maos should still be here really. They would have been 15z but then I wouldn’t have had Cheddar and Penelope!

They were beautiful. Always bittersweet to remember a beloved pet.

Penelope has been seeing off an interloper. They both seem just as nervous of each other. It was absolutely hilarious when the interloper scooted up the fence and she just sat there. Clearly wondering why she can’t do that. 🤣🤣 Interloper is about the same size as she is, so I don’t think she feels threatened. There has been no agression other than mild growling from madam. Ps excuse the weeds!

Crikey! I hope it is not a case of ‘look and learn’ for Penelope. She may not have considered climbing the fence before this exciting display .

@Cailleach1I hope not! Though she is the only one of all of mine that can jump onto the kitchen units. I’ve learned to keep anything she can use as a bridge away from the fence.

Lady Pen is looking so well! I cannot see any superflous chins. Your sister is making it up.

My parents are staying at the minute, she loves my mum so is in her element. I have to explain the correct seating position for my mum to sit in if she wants Pen to sit on her. It’s good to know that I’m still favourite human to sleep with though!
