Keep your paws crossed that Penelope (also to be known as Pickle) will be right for Cheddar and arrive soon.
I'm a bit confused by her story, but she's an ex show cat. So hopefully will be healthy.
She's not yet in the rescue so we do t k ow her personality. But from what I've seen as show cats. They are pretty docile.

The rescue told me about her when O told them of Magic's death. And when I got to work that night. We had a patient called Penelope. So I take it as a sign!

I'm trying to speed it up a bit but the rescue is busy.

No real interaction yet between them?

Nope. They've spent time in the same room peacefully. And they both got on my bed. Cheddar hissed and jumped off. But there has been no other aggression other than growling and hissing. Apparently spaying can help with territorial issues. I wonder if Cheddar can smell that she's unwell.

I think I'll put her back to bed in her own room. Don't think she's eaten much and her sitting on Cheddar's pillow might be a bit much for Cheddar.

I'd be tempted to leave them to it at this stage. Maybe just separate when you're not home.

Peaceful coexistence is better than the reverse, but I do hope they can become friends.

Yes. I'm tired tonight and have to be up early for work. So I've Put Penelope back in her room. But will let her have free range tomorrow night.

Hmm her ear canal is not where I thought it was. So maybe the drops haven't been getting to the right place!

I've booked her into the vet that will do her teeth as I've had enough now. We aren't getting anywhere and this is just going to continue and delay getting her well.

@Defiantlynot41 if that's all we get, I'll be happy with that. She's like a different cat tonight. So maybe the infection is starting to settle!

Came home to a a much happier cat last night. Saw the second vet today, temperature has come down. (Not masked by metacam) she let them have a good look for the first time. Some infection remaining, but much improved. We agreed that it's gone on so long that some antibiotics would be a good idea. So she's had an injection of long lasting ones. And Is fit for spay on Monday.
I'm going to have to watch out as she's a jumper!

Her eyes look happier. Didn’t think I’d even be able to notice but you can see in her eyes she’s feeling a bit better

She's eating much better as well. Doesn't seem to like wet food after all 😂😂

I wonder if she only ate the wet, because the mother and baby food wasn't filling her up.

She does look perkier, all fingers crossed for continued improvement 🤞🏼

All my moggies have been jumpers - she is finding her inner mog!
