Keep your paws crossed that Penelope (also to be known as Pickle) will be right for Cheddar and arrive soon.
I'm a bit confused by her story, but she's an ex show cat. So hopefully will be healthy.
She's not yet in the rescue so we do t k ow her personality. But from what I've seen as show cats. They are pretty docile.

The rescue told me about her when O told them of Magic's death. And when I got to work that night. We had a patient called Penelope. So I take it as a sign!

I'm trying to speed it up a bit but the rescue is busy.

She looks so much better; bright and at ease. Cheddar seems to have a new lease of life, too.

SequentialAnalyst · 19/01/2024 01:32

I love that she matches the duvet, and can be compared and contrasted with a llama of similar colouring.

Looks like she's got her paws well under the tableSmile

Toddlerteaplease · 19/01/2024 04:49

Cheddar is much more playful. They still have their nightly punch up. And chase each other round the house. But apart from that, they rub along nicely together. Penelope doesn't seem to care if Cheddar pushes her out of the way, or climbs over her.

Toddler, I hope you're going to start a new thread when this one fills up - I love getting my Cheddar and Penelope fix.

Toddlerteaplease · 19/01/2024 07:44

Waiting for their breakfast. Penelope unfortunately isn't getting any today!

😁

Good luck with Penelope and hopefully she recovers quickly. And that they remember to check her ears!!

Toddlerteaplease · 19/01/2024 09:34

The vet who's doing the surgery, is well acquainted with her ears. And will have a good look. It's on the board apparently. I've noticed that her ears are much more mobile now. I've not noticed it before.

Just had to drop some Sheba off at the vets. As madam won't eat anything else. She's just had her pre med apparently.

Would also like a new thread, am totally over-invested in Penelope's new life 😻

Wishing her a speedy recovery 💐

Toddlerteaplease · 19/01/2024 15:55

She came out of theatre about half an hour ago. All went well. Collecting her hat 6.30.

I take issue with the sticker on the side of the box, that says 100% satisfaction guarantee! I'm going to have to capitulate and get some Sheba as she's having five teeth out tomorrow.

Whoever designed the sticker obviously does not actually have a cat!

Toddlerteaplease · 19/01/2024 19:07

She's home and had a little bit to eat. But her mouth is clearly feeling a bit weird. She actually had 6 teeth out. Ears look good.

Wanting and trying to eat is great. And yay for ears!

Toddlerteaplease · 19/01/2024 19:55

Can hear her eating dry food!

Wow. That's impressive already.

Toddlerteaplease · 19/01/2024 21:16

She's avoiding me. But she did that last week. Normal
Service will probably be resumed tomorrow.

Haha. Mine does very ostentatious ignoring (with filthy looks) until i go to bed and suddenly she's all over the pillow and demands to go under the duvet, my awful sins forgiven.

Pixiedust1234 · 19/01/2024 21:21

Sleep with one eye open. Humans are easier to eat/gum to death than dry biscuits. Just sayin'

Guiltypleasures001 · 19/01/2024 23:20

Glad she's ok Toddler Grin

felinelucky · 20/01/2024 08:00

Glad she's got that's over with, poor little thing. Hopefully she'll start feeling much more comfortable.

Toddlerteaplease · 20/01/2024 09:27

She was curled up on the stairs when I went to check on her. But was very purry and seemed quite happy. Hopefully she'll be back on the bed as usual tonight.

Toddlerteaplease · 20/01/2024 09:43

She just stealthily walked along the landing and hid in wait for Cheddar to come out the bathroom. Very funny!
