I am not bloody calling it Velcro!!

Please help me with a name for these two. The black one just wanted neck snuggles so my DD in all of her wisdom has nicknamed her Velcro but this is me putting my foot down. Its not happening.

Aw bless their baffled brainless little faces. The black one looks a lot like a Smudge to me. Black and white one looks like a Gavin but I always have to be restrained from calling kittens Gavin.

Plus letting children (even if adults) name pets totally ludicrous things is much more fun than sensible naming patterns.

They are both girls. I should have said that in the 1st place. DD has just appeared and has declared all you Velcro supporters very reasonable and clever people.

I have suggested Luna which she doesn't hate

Not Luna, every second cat and dog is currently called Luna. It's a lovely name, but very over done now.

Velcro and Zippy are excellent names, though Zippy might be a bit of a misnomer in a few years time. So might Velcro, come to think of it....

You can always go for the ludicrous misnomer now, given the puzzled expressions. How about Socrates and Plato?
