Thug cat part 5 - For he will not do destruction, if he is well-fed, neither will he spit without provocation.

Christopher Smart had clearly never met TC.
Due to popular demand (and a fear of lynching by the denizens of Mumsnet if I failed to comply) please find enclosed the 5th (🙀) thread about my NDN's cat.
For any new arrivals to this thread, TC is a stripy thug who spends most of his waking hours trying to break into our house. He doesn't get on with our cats (with the possible exception of Sybil, but only if she's in the mood). He currently is at war with Lenny.
He occasionally behaves like a perfect gentleman, his more normal MO however is to be a hissing spitting ball of teeth and claws.
For any one daft enough, here are the last 4000 posts about him
thread1
thread2
thread3
thread4
For anyone far too sensible to trawl through the above threads, here are a few of his photographic highlights. And yes, the last one is him on my kitchen table...

I second that Supine.
However I imagine a large donation to the NHS would be required quite quickly afterwards

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/05/2023 14:56

How does TC get to the V.E.T.?

Pixiedust1234 · 30/05/2023 16:09

MsSupineLickspittle · 30/05/2023 12:53

Would the cat be in a bag because I'd certainly make a large donation to the Woodland Trust for a video of that being attempted.

😂😂😂

With difficulty!

I'd suggest posting this question on TC's Dad's thread.
As an aside we use the same veterinary surgery as NDN, and our vet says Basil is her favourite cat ever. A quality vet 😁

I would be happy to send the Woodland Trust 15 bin bags of cut down nettles, brambles and thistles, and a stripey cat if it helps them.

I think Grumpy would need to pay them compensation and possibly face criminal charges :)

Florissante · 31/05/2023 13:32

Or he could just borrow a suit of armour.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 31/05/2023 19:39

Stripey cat basking on our patio (as usual...)

Supersimkin2 · 01/06/2023 13:28

Stripey siesta looks bliss.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 04/06/2023 14:44

So Basil hissing by the doorway, the other three cats sitting watching, and Mrs Grumpy hissing at him and then throwing a cushion at him, didn't stop TC from sauntering through the living room and straight to the food.

The noise he makes when one is trying to gently steer him away from the food and back outside is astonishing 🤣.

"Gently", Grumpy? You've got your toecap jammed right into that poor starving animal's throat Shock

Sweetpea1532 · 04/06/2023 15:23

Well @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats Are you wearing black Wing-tipped shoes or are those holes in the top of your shoe actually TC toofie marks he made when you've tried to escort him out of the house over the years?😾😹

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 04/06/2023 15:25

While clearly in MN-Land TC can do no wrong, you might want to consider in the picture the claws he's using to hang off my leg. I tryed to ease him away using my foot (for health and safety reasons). He then attacked my food and leg 🤣.

OP posts:
Sweetpea1532 · 04/06/2023 15:25

Ohh, just noticed in the one photo that TC is grasping your shoe with his talons so he's probably made a few holes that way , too😅

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 04/06/2023 15:29

Most holes by design, ur undoubtedly a few extra added by the Thug. Apart from on Sundays I normally only wear walking boots. They are generally more TC proof than shoes.

OP posts:
RumNotRun · 04/06/2023 17:17

That's clearly TC hugging your foot cause he loves you so much. Poor defenceless creature just wants some Grumpy love

Pixiedust1234 · 04/06/2023 17:34

In the second picture he is clearly saying "please sir, may I have some of this yummy looking food?" And your reply is a boot on his throat. Those talons are merely aiding his balance so he isn't totally squished underfoot. I can tell who is the thug is and it's not the poor starving little fluffball. Poor unloved baby 😥

Florissant · 04/06/2023 19:13

Poor TC, being kicked in the throat when he wanted only to fill his empty tummy.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 05/06/2023 09:21

Round at NDN's yesterday evening. TC joined us for our alfresco dining. Despite being accused of kicking him in the throat, he doesn't look much like an abused cat to me. 🤣
Amusingly later on in the evening Karl appeared on top of NDN's shed - miaowing at us presumably because
a) we weren't in the right garden and
b) he wanted to go inside to eat.

TC was unimpressed by this incursion, but did nothing about it.

Perhaps he took it as more of a 'nudge with your foot' than a kicking.

Or perhaps he's just biding his time.

This thread is hilarious how have I never come across it before!! What beautiful cats.

Thank you op- I can't think of a better way to procrastinate on my housework than some lighthearted cat gossip 😂

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 05/06/2023 10:42

Poor Karl, all cats know you can't get the staff but you always think your owner will be different. Your owner won't sod off to next door and make nice to stripes.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 05/06/2023 10:59

Ah - Mrs. Grumpy briefly popped back home to let Karl (and Lenny and Sybil) back in.
We are quite good cat staff really 😁.

And TC has tried (but failed) to get in again this morning.
