Christopher Smart had clearly never met TC.
Due to popular demand (and a fear of lynching by the denizens of Mumsnet if I failed to comply) please find enclosed the 5th (🙀) thread about my NDN's cat.
For any new arrivals to this thread, TC is a stripy thug who spends most of his waking hours trying to break into our house. He doesn't get on with our cats (with the possible exception of Sybil, but only if she's in the mood). He currently is at war with Lenny.
He occasionally behaves like a perfect gentleman, his more normal MO however is to be a hissing spitting ball of teeth and claws.

Mrs Grumpy and I have just been out with NDN for a quick dog walk. As we left our house TC came onto our drive, completely ignored us as he walked past, strolled up the steps, scratched at the front door then turned round and sat down.
Still there when we came back 30 minutes later.

There is a house further down our street that has a cat walkway going up the wall from the ground to an upstairs window. I'm amazed that I've never seen TC sitting at the top of it.
