Thug cat part 5 - For he will not do destruction, if he is well-fed, neither will he spit without provocation.

Christopher Smart had clearly never met TC.
Due to popular demand (and a fear of lynching by the denizens of Mumsnet if I failed to comply) please find enclosed the 5th (🙀) thread about my NDN's cat.
For any new arrivals to this thread, TC is a stripy thug who spends most of his waking hours trying to break into our house. He doesn't get on with our cats (with the possible exception of Sybil, but only if she's in the mood). He currently is at war with Lenny.
He occasionally behaves like a perfect gentleman, his more normal MO however is to be a hissing spitting ball of teeth and claws.
For any one daft enough, here are the last 4000 posts about him
thread1
thread2
thread3
thread4
For anyone far too sensible to trawl through the above threads, here are a few of his photographic highlights. And yes, the last one is him on my kitchen table...

He does love you, Grumpy.

In his own way.

Maybe he just sees Grumpy as a hindrance to the attentions of the beauteous Sybil.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/05/2023 18:09

Wondered why we hadn't seen TC today...
He's obviously been quietly planning this all day.
And he savaged NDN when we summoned him to collect The Thug. 🙀.
Our boys were just sitting in the kitchen looking puzzled. At least Sybil had a go when NDN carried him out.

Poor, unfed TC.

Pixiedust1234 · 20/05/2023 20:25

Good grief...he ate all three bowls?? The poor baby was starving!!

Supersimkin2 · 21/05/2023 00:09

A sight for sore eyes. Such a glossy coat, bless him. Has TC been referred by the vet for PDA assessment? Might be illuminating; tests all the rage for the ‘spirited’ pet substitutes of London.

SammyScrounge · 21/05/2023 01:18

The Fab Four are Fantastic! What beautiful cats!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 28/05/2023 16:25

We are doing some gardening (clearing nettles and brambles) from the front of the house.
Someone noticed and took advantage. He made it through the kitchen and into the utility room.
At least I was wearing gardening gloves so was able to pick up the spitting hissing ball of claws and teeth and put him back outside. He was biting my thumb as hard as he could - but I was protected 🤣
Worryingly he's been rather too good at breaking in recently.

TC is always watching.

Hes telling you, in no uncertain terms, that picking him up is undignified for someone of his social standing. What you are supposed to do is place a line of dreamies to the outside so he can leave under his own steam and with not a hair out of place 😂

Florissant · 28/05/2023 17:08

He needs to be carried out on a palanquin by slaves waving ostrich plumes as this befits his station.

FlibbertyGibbitt · 28/05/2023 18:33

He looks very cross there 🤣

Not half as cross as he was 30 seconds later 🤣

He probably just wanted to pee.

Well I did report on our deluxe double sized litter tray in another thread recently. He might have read about it and decided to give it a go 🤣.

Meanwhile we've been doing a bit more gardening and discovered this in the front while we were clearing it.

Finally! A good picture of a big cat sighting! They do exist!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 29/05/2023 15:55

Followed by a deliberate exit when NDN brought his chain saw round for us to use.

Pixiedust1234 · 29/05/2023 16:26

So you ruined his specially adapted sun bed? I cant believe how mean you are to a poor defenceless unloved hungry little fur baby who only wants to be loved and admired (and fed a lot)

RumNotRun · 29/05/2023 16:40

@Pixiedust1234 I agree, poor TC, being ousted from everywhere he tries to rest his weary head. It's like Grumpy has a vendetta against him. The poor innocent furball. (Ha, my phone tried to change that to fireball - it clearly knows TC's character!)
He does have stunning markings - TC that is, not you Grumpy 😁

JoanOgden · 29/05/2023 18:45

I'm concerned to see that Grumpy and Mrs Grumpy are deliberately destroying the habitat of an exotic species Sad

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 29/05/2023 18:53

Are we saying the garden should become a conservation area?

Yes. Absolutely. TC needs space to roam.

Supersimkin2 · 30/05/2023 10:57

Phoning Woodland Trust. Now.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 30/05/2023 12:40

I would be happy to send the Woodland Trust 15 bin bags of cut down nettles, brambles and thistles, and a stripey cat if it helps them.

Would the cat be in a bag because I'd certainly make a large donation to the Woodland Trust for a video of that being attempted.
