NMC.

Dear God, look at all those drink rings. Mugs, I swear. Funny how tea’s the same colour as Aperol.

Ohhhhh... Havelock and his li'l star 🥰

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2022 21:43

Is Havelocks mum Jewish? Does she have a ready supply of Halva?

Im the only one without a NMC on this thread. This is just like when I bought loads of bird feeders and the birds came once and fucked off. I’ve failed the NMC test.

I could understand it when Bertie was around because NMC didn’t make it into the garden.

PeloAddict · 09/08/2022 21:45

I've messaged my neighbour. Well, she lives the next street over but she's seen paws eating out her bin before. Just to ask if she's seen him

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2022 21:56

You know when we all say you have two cats and you deny it? You have two cats.

Supersimkin2 · 09/08/2022 21:56

That’s a good idea Queen. He’s a roaming minstrel tho.

Cats have very efficient memories, Fluffy. Due to feline respect for asbo, I wouldn’t be anticipating the arrival of an NMC for decades.

I’m out of Gourmet now cos Prince had to
have an extra supper for his nerves. Onto the hand-finished prosciutto platter.

PeloAddict · 09/08/2022 22:06

She hasn't seen him

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2022 22:07

Do you know his normal address? They might have moved during the summer.

PeloAddict · 09/08/2022 22:09

I don't. I know the street but not the house number. It's been a good couple of months before so I'll see what happens
He will probably wait until I am worried sick and then appear sauntering in

My friends cat was killed today so I'm a bit wobbly

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2022 22:12

Oh no, that would affect me too,

Puddy is chasing a moth, I’m not intervening. If a giant powder puff can catch you you deserve to die. She’s still scared on house flies though. We have issues with house flies in this house. Scrabbley paws at dawn problems.

PeloAddict · 09/08/2022 22:16

Ollie is on patrol in the garden. His new thing is he wants me to spoon feed him water
No
Alright just once

YesItsMeIDontCare · 09/08/2022 22:19

Nope, I don't have an NMC either. Barney passed away a couple of years ago and Hunter moved away a couple of weeks ago. Hunter never got fed though, just used to face plant in the catnip and drink out of the water pump 😁

How did Ollie find out about spoon fed water though? 🤨

Absolutely nothing to do with me

Ok I had a bowl with water he was miaowing at but wouldn't drink so I offered him a spoon and created a monster

HouseofHolbein · 10/08/2022 06:43

I don't have a NMC either 😊

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/08/2022 07:37

My very first cat was an NMC. Having been coming into my flat every day for months, he disappeared for a few days but then turned up injured. I took him to the vet who told me to keep him in for a few weeks. When I said to the vet
'but he's not my cat', the vet's response was
'he is now, you've got the vet's bill'.
This NMC first came in after a burglary. A window had been forced open and the cat took advantage. I came home to a robbed flat, and NMC curled up on the sofa. I have a sneaking suspicion that the cat probably miaowed at the burglars to let him in...
I've not had another NMC until TC, who has of course played the part exceptionally well.

TheLongRider · 10/08/2022 09:31

My parents have become cat slaves to two kitten brothers. Their last cat died last year of old age and Mum initially swore off having cats again but here we are!

They are a delightful pair, confident, purry and very playful.

I love how kittens happily play with toys that are bought for them 🥰

Its like having children - they love the plastic crap while they're little, then give you a wtf look and walk off if you offer them plastic crap as a teenager 😂

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/08/2022 10:02

Aww. We all say we'll never have another then we dutifully slope off to get another little heart breaker or two 😹

Supersimkin2 · 10/08/2022 10:44

Kittenz!!! The sweetness, such a lovely matching pair.

Sorry about your friend’s cat Queen, poor girl must be in bits.

Prince kipped on me and woke me up putting.

HouseofHolbein · 10/08/2022 11:13

I just burned off the weeds in the front garden with our gas burner. Walked back in to put it in the back garden to cool down and caught Morticia's tail with it 😭😭 whole house smells of burned fur now but she didn't even notice 🤣🤣

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/08/2022 19:54

I'm famous 😹.
I complimented the OP on the shrew ice cream thread. My quote has now appeared in the Daily Mirror.
Fame at last eh? 🤣

Defiantlynot41 · 10/08/2022 20:35
