FWK has just taken Cedric and Doris for their post OP check up - all well.
BUT these kittens are just over six months old and Cedric is 3kg and Doris is 3.5kg. That seems very big to me.
They are (reputedly) BSH, Persian crosses. How big are these going to get? 🙀

Ha, Grumpy, those are chunky kittens! DCat2 still struggling to get up to 2.5kg (have resorted to delivering room service to her bed now) and DCat1 just about makes 3.5kg. They are dainty girls though, when my Mum has BSH they were ummm sturdy

I thought so too. Karl and Lenny are grown up boys, both very lithe and weigh just under 4kgs each. FWK seems to have acquired monsters 😹

Oh fuck. I think my cats are monsters then. My little girl weighed 4.5kg at one year and I dread what my boy weighs although he's big and didn't have the op until fully grown.

Ah. This gives perspective for a Eko. He’s 6.3kg! Vet said was I sure there wasn’t Savannah cat somewhere in his lineage.
Hr doesn’t even look that heavy. He’s just long but mostly proportional

Nothing against larger cats (Basil is nudging 6kg and my first ever mog was built like a brick shithouse 🤣) it's just these 2 seem very big for 6 month old girls, and (at the risk of drip feeding) the vet did tell FWK that they were a bit fat.

Maybe it's time for some photos to check those vital statistics?
