Prince had three breakfasts and is resting. We held paws last night in bed without him savaging me. He’s starting to get softer and much more relaxed - I get tail-slapped with affection now. 🐾

My flat cat screens are a boon in this weather. Dh has the room with the ceiling fan AND the air con unit.

Money saving tip: it’s so hot next week wash your feathery pillows & duvets and dry them out rather than forking out a fortune at the laundrette, if they even exist now. All that evap cools the house too. £50 guineas saved.

Gomez is limping ☹️ doesn't seem to be anything obvious we've checked for thorns etc.

Not sure whether to try to get in the vets today or leave it until tomorrow.

If she’s eating etc I’d leave till tm. If she goes off food that says infection.

Agree with Fluffy, if she's eating, probably ok to leave to tomorrow, unless she is hiding somewhere dark (which is what DCat2 always does when she's been bitten and brewing an infection.

That's the same cat who was limping for a week, 2 vet visits with anti inflammatory and pain killing injections - still limping so I insisted on £300 ultrasound- stopped limping as soon as she came home with no further treatment (ultrasound was clear).

I lost my Mum yesterday - unexpectedly (she had dementia but was still living independently) ... she loved cats so I will be around for a bit of distraction but may not be posting much

It's not too bad over here, it's hot but I like heat so that's fine. DH has got COVID for the first time. He tested positive on Wednesday night. I've been sleeping downstairs on the sofa and he's upstairs with our one female cat who is loving the extra attention and full use of the bed. I'm the only one in the house not to have caught COVID yet...

I'm not sure about bloodless, she has a tendency to nip hard if you're not paying her enough attention. Apparently she's woken him up in the middle of the night by licking him on the nose.

DD and I are off to Paris for four days tomorrow, I'll get the bed back after that.
