Really sorry that you had a wasted visit for the court visit Allergic. Congratulations on the new job though.

Hope everyone's various body parts recover quickly.

Orangeblossom28 I love the idea of a wedding venue with kittens. It reminds me of those threads where posters are urged not to buy a particular dress in case they out-shine the bride. I am imagining weddings where nobody is bothered with speeches etc as they go off to play with the kittens.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/07/2022 09:14

Instead of wedding favours you give out cat toys and everyone goes off to entertain the kittens.

Im in!.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 15/07/2022 09:36

Thinking this through to its illogical extreme... You'd have terrible trouble clearing the venue at the end of the evening.
I'd suggest that every wedding kitten hire comes with the option of adding TC to the mix at throwing out time. He'd clear a wedding venue in minutes.

Defiantlynot41 · 15/07/2022 10:02

I'm in! You'd have to check everyone's bags and pockets at the end of the night too ... what, this teeny tiny kitten? Nooo, no idea how that got in my handbag!

Brilliant idea though.

Supersimkin2 · 15/07/2022 13:10

Wedding List - ‘big bag of kittenz’ . Choose size and colour from John Lewis. Matching sets available.

I’ve finally got covid, the last loser in town to get in on the act two years late.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 15/07/2022 13:19

Oh, no Lana!

Get well soon!

Nah, still waiting for my bout here. Which bearing in mind I spent almost 18 months talking to complete strangers, seems somewhat weird.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/07/2022 13:48

Oh great, I had it two weeks ago. It’s not awful after the first few days. The fevers the worst bit ime. Dh is CEV and was largely asymptomatic. He gave it to me after going back into hospital.

HouseofHolbein · 15/07/2022 13:49

Absolutely nobody in my house has had Covid. 3 work in supermarkets and the rest have been in school/college all through. Reckon we need studying 🤣🤣

Sorry to hear that Super - hope it won't be too bad for you. I finally got it a few months back and it wasn't much more than a sore throat and feeling a bit snotty.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 15/07/2022 14:18

I hope Prince is being a good and attentive nurse for you Super. Get well soon 💐

Supersimkin2 · 15/07/2022 15:51

Thank you all so much for being so lovely. Only got the test out cos I thought the tetanus jab side effects were hanging round a bit. Now welded to sofa. Prince in box 📦 next to sofa.

That’s incredible about DH having 0 symptoms, Fluffy. What a huge relief for you both. Well done DH.

A bit annoying he gave it to
you but better to have had it than not. Mind you, given how many of us are sailing through it, do you think cats have a protective effect?

coastergirl · 15/07/2022 16:00

If cats are protective against covid then Walter is not catting properly. I've just had it for the 3rd time. Hope you're all ok.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/07/2022 17:28

Mil has gone home. Puddy is still camped out in the kitchen waiting for treats.

Papergirl1968 · 15/07/2022 18:53

Sorry to hear about the double whammy of a bite and covid, Lana. Hope you're ok.
Congrats on the new job, Allergic. Well done!
Are you ok, Pelo? Has your mum's funeral taken place yet?

Supersimkin2 · 15/07/2022 19:07

Meh, I’m moany but fine. Got cool mats, one each for me and Prince for next week. They’re four quid on Amazon and bliss.

I'm ok and yes, 29th June. Flowers were beautiful

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 15/07/2022 21:36

Bloody cats - why do we live with them?
Rescued a lady blackbird from TC earlier this afternoon (he caught it in front of me in our garden). He was VERY bad tempered with me.
Then, sitting down this evening watching the idiot tube, Lenny came flying in through the window with a mouse in his mouth. Mrs Grumpy shrieked and ran out of the room. Lenny, of course, then dropped the (very lively) mouse who promptly disappeared. I have now caught, and released the little chap down our road, but idiot cat still seems to think there's a mouse in the room...

Papergirl1968 · 15/07/2022 21:54

Those flowers are stunning, Pelo. We asked for autumnal colours for my dad's funeral but the florist messed up and sent white which was annoying.
Hope Ollie is being a comfort.

PeloAddict · 16/07/2022 09:20

Ollie just jumped in the window, saw the bloke sat on the sofa and did a full on human HUFF noise
Bloke "Ollie did you just huff at me?!" Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/07/2022 09:25

A NMC and my OH used to do that to each other, accompanied by identical slightly curled lips.

Freeasabird76 · 16/07/2022 09:34

Finally got a cuddly cat, just cant more when she wants to sleep 😂😂

To a life well spent – RIP Cap'n V
PeloAddict · 16/07/2022 09:34

He couldn't stop laughing, said it was such a deliberate looking him in the eyes huff

(Ollie likes him really)

YesItsMeIDontCare · 16/07/2022 13:23

@PeloAddict - Leroy huffs at DH when he has the audacity to try and sleep in his own bed 😂

That's a very adorable little cuddle kitten you have there @Freeasabird76. What's his/her name?

How are you feeling today @Supersimkin2? My brother has it and says he feels as rough as a badger's arse. I would have thought a badger's arse would be quite soft and fluffy but what do I know 🤷🏼‍♀️

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/07/2022 13:33

@Freeasabird76 Absolutely must not move or future cuddles are over “no, I remember when I was 12 weeks 3days and 14 hrs old and you pushed me away to go to the toilet” cats bear grudges.
