Kurt Zouma captured kicking a cat ....

Disgusting video footage of the West Ham player both kicking and slapping his bengal cat.

I'm not posting it because it's too distressing, but it has been posted online by the Express Newspaper.

There is also a change.org petition demanding that West Ham, the Police and the RSPCA take further action...please support and spread it!

Hard as nails that one.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/02/2022 19:48

i haven't seen the video , but what stands out for me so desperately sad is this wasn't an isolated incident ( in the stills he looks like he's wearing different clothes ) and that poor cat still allowed them near enough to pick it up or get near enough to assault it .

My little boycat is a very shy chap , he'll jump on the bed for attention when he wants but if he's scared he'll scarper .
I have never ever done anything to make him mistrust me except take him for his routine Vet visits where he literally goes rigid (and weirdy yowling)
If I even injured him by accident ( you know how bad you feel when you trip over them !) he would take it very personally

But this poor cat looks like he gave his trust to this utter arsehole who did not deserve it all all

There was a similar incident involving two brothers and a dog ( I did watch that vile video) poor animal wagged its tail Sad .
And three months later PTS

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/02/2022 19:50

but he's very sorry so that's ok then, and we'll keep him on the team

Maybe there's a chance he'll get injured , "accidently" Rough game football Hmm
.

Seemslikeagoodidea · 12/02/2022 23:02

He behaved like a nasty thug and his brother seemed amused by it. I don't expect they're laughing now though.

He probably handed the cats over to the RSPCA as a PR damage limitation exercise, rather than out of genuine concern for their welfare.

TheOnlyMrsMac · 13/02/2022 16:39

Zouma was not in the starting line-up for West Ham's match against Leicester today after all. It is being said that he is 'unwell' but I hope either WH and Moyes have finally seen sense, or the RSPCA/police investigation/French legal action is moving forward.

TheOnlyMrsMac · 13/02/2022 16:42

Not forgetting the Social Services investigation.

ilovesooty · 13/02/2022 16:42

Good: I'm glad he isn't playing. Let the rest of the team get on with what they have to do without him. They seem to be doing fine so far.

Olinguito · 14/02/2022 16:17

Unfortunately he was selected to play yesterday and was booed in the warm up. Apparently he was then unable to play due to illness and a last minute replacement started instead. I don't think David Moyes or West Ham are handling this at all well.

Seemslikeagoodidea · 15/02/2022 03:42

Well, when the fans of his own team are booing him, surely it's time for him to go, but I wonder if he will be welcome anywhere in the UK after what he did. I have heard from several French people that on the whole French people are much less sentimental towards their pets than British people, so perhaps a French side will take him. But if his career is over, I cannot muster any sympathy, because what he did was cruel and he saw it as a huge joke.

TheOnlyMrsMac · 16/03/2022 16:56

An RSPCA statement said: "Following a full and thorough investigation, we have started the process of bringing a prosecution against Kurt Zouma and Yoan Zouma under the Animal Welfare Act.

"The two cats continue to be cared for by the RSPCA. We will be in a position to release more information once a court date is confirmed."

noirchatsdeux · 16/03/2022 19:09

I'm just glad the RSPCA finally found their balls and are taking him and his vile brother to court. Hopefully those two beautiful cats will find a new home to be happy in.

Hope they’re found guilty and banned from keeping any animals in the future.

Allergictoironing · 17/03/2022 09:09

Thank you for the update *@TheOnlyMrsMac *.

I'd been wondering if anything was happening on this or if it would be swept under the carpet, looks like he won't get away with it.

Want2beme · 17/03/2022 11:16

Good news. I saw something yesterday, but wasn't 100% sure.

Nightlystroll · 17/03/2022 18:52

I'm just glad the RSPCA finally found their balls and are taking him and his vile brother to court.

The RSPCA is a prosecuting body. It follows strict guidance in investigation and interviews, whilst securing professional witnesses. I don't see why you are being so rude about them. They acted promptly from the moment the case came to light, they just didn't issue daily broadcasts to keep you entertained, that's all.

TheOnlyMrsMac · 23/05/2022 14:46

In court tomorrow:

Want2beme · 23/05/2022 15:21

This crossed my mind yesterday. I'll take a look. Thanks.

Kurt and Yoan Zouma arriving at court this morning:

Guilty pleas:

TheOnlyMrsMac · 24/05/2022 11:46

I understand neither of them has pleaded guilty to all the charges against them:
two out of three in KZ's case and one out of two in YZ's case. More details should be available shortly.

TheOnlyMrsMac · 24/05/2022 12:21

Actually, that was just KZ under those umbrellas, hired muscle and hood. I have more respect for YZ, who walked to court with his solicitor and faced the cameras.

Nice to see the cats looking safe and well now:

Please note, not yet available for rehoming and then best-suited to an experienced, Bengals-enthusiast home!

MoonGoon · 25/05/2022 00:39

What possible sentence could they get, a paltry fine?

LetitiaLeghorn · 25/05/2022 01:20

Prison is a possibility. I never knew a magistrate's court not to do an immediate sentencing unless a custodial sentence was in the offing. I doubt he'll go to prison for this, but this is a big case for magistrates to rule on and risk getting abuse over so I omagine they'd probably want to consult someone over it before sentencing.

ilovesooty · 25/05/2022 01:44

I hope they're both jailed but I don't think it will happen.
