Disgusting video footage of the West Ham player both kicking and slapping his bengal cat.

I'm not posting it because it's too distressing, but it has been posted online by the Express Newspaper.

There is also a change.org petition demanding that West Ham, the Police and the RSPCA take further action...please support and spread it!

Less than half a mile from the old West Ham ground is the Celia Hammond Cat Rescue centre. Maybe a very large donation from this abuser would be in order, he could drop of the cheque when he takes the cats their yo be rehomed to a loving new home.

Some people buy Bengals as an exotic status symbol and fashion accessory, rather than being true cat lovers. It wouldn't surprise me if this was the case here: a designer cat was wanted, to show off alongside the designer clothes. Many of the poor things end up being sold on or in rescue centres. They suffer for their beauty, often ending up in the wrong hands - like Kurt Zouma's.

Oh how sad The only thing I knew, rightly or wrongly, was that they are affectionate and don't shed much....as I type, I think not shedding on his designer sofas is probably a thing for him.

Our cat has a habit of walking through our legs (mine mostly because I feed him most often!) and on occasion he's timed it so my foot hoiks him up in the air......he's my favourite baby so when this happens I'm always mortified and rush to make sure he's ok, I can't imagine what it takes to do this, but with intent, to an animal. Cruel, cruel, man. What example does it set? At home? To the fans? I hope he's prosecuted for cruelty.

I heard on the news that Essex police were now investigating this as his horrible abuse of the cat may have taken place in Essex.

I agree with TheOnlyMrsMac that he probably bought the cat as a status symbol. I'm also glad that Gabby Logan highlighted that the effect on the child who witnessed it also needs to be considered as well as the harm he caused the poor cat.

Disgusting behaviour by both the plain nasty Zouma ... unforgivable decision by David Moyles and done immeasurable harm to our clubs reputation. A club I no longer want to be associated with.

The cats should be removed immediately. Bengals are gorgeous cats (I’ve always wanted one but I’m allergic unfortunately). It’s a real shame these ones have ended up in his hands. Perhaps the breeder will see the news and remove the cats from him?
