@couchparsnip
You are welcome. There is however a tax for joining. Photos please Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/11/2021 18:42

Aww, did she notice you looking 😂

Supersimkin2 · 20/11/2021 21:12

The Litter Tray visual media tariff is VAT free but never CAT free.

Sorry.

I’m watching new Bond - he’s really, really grumpy and weary all the way through. You know when the cat’s taken all the duvet the previous night and left you a massive tray to clean up before you leave the house to save the world?

NotMyCat · 22/11/2021 16:48

Ollie came back in, bringing paws with him. Ollie went to eat, paws hissed at him, Ollie wailed, paws got scared and ran off which scared Ollie... HmmHmm

I really didn't want to take Leroy out tonight. Monday is a rather "trying" day at work, I'm tired and, more importantly, it's cold.

Leroy insisted. Paws up the back door ankle nipping insisted. Didn't take him long to realise that actually Mummy was right 😂

Papergirl1968 · 22/11/2021 21:37

Here is a more flattering pic of Matt than the one I posted last week.
I really must try to get more photos of Socks but she's shy! I barely see her until bedtime when she cuddles up next to me. In a David Attenborough voice, I refer to her as the lesser spotted Socks, a very rare sight in these parts. Or in my normal voice I call her Poor Socks. Poor because she is bullied by Matt!

Matt is purrfect. I have a soft spot for him the size of a superking goosedown duvet, with dreamies packets lost in it; he can never do wrong. Darling ittle Socks will get more confident.

Shan't mention the, ahem, dog. But I hope they are all thriving.

Does anyone know where I can get persian or persian mix kittens?

Papergirl1968 · 22/11/2021 21:59

Ohh Lana. For yourself? How will Cap'n react?!

Supersimkin2 · 22/11/2021 22:05

Asking for a friend.

Really.

Cap'n is my only love. I'm a one-cat woman and he's... well, he always comes home to me.

Papergirl1968 · 22/11/2021 23:26

Aww, how sweet.
Matt is being very loving tonight, rubbing his head on me and purring, bless him. The dog is asleep by me and Matt sniffed her ear. Baby steps towards acceptance...

I'm in bed trying not to Envy
Had to do my injection today and the side effects are GRIM. I actually start feeling sick before I inject now Grin to add to the shivering/sweating/temperature/headache/bone pain

@NotMyCat is it methotrexate?

Allergictoironing · 23/11/2021 09:34

And there was me feeling sorry for myself after my Covid booster jab! Good thing it's my day off today, slept for 10 hours. Woken by disgruntled cats telling me "breakfast time is by 8am, not after 9 Angry".

NotMyCat · 23/11/2021 09:34
@NotMyCat is it methotrexate?
No, it's filgrastim Envy ew
I'm on omalizumab as well but that doesn't give me any issues

Papergirl1968 · 23/11/2021 11:11

Hope you're feeling better today, NotMyCat, and that Ollie and Paws are looking after you.
Your comments on that other thread about the poster who was scared of a general anaesthetic were really helpful to me, so thank you.

Oh I was a wreck. "I pack my bag right now and leave, no anaesthetic THANK YOU" They persuaded me to have some midazolam IV to relax me and once I had that, I was absolutely fine. If I had to go for one tomorrow I wouldn't be at all nervous now
Papergirl1968 · 23/11/2021 11:39

Funny thing is I remember having a few GA as a kid when having teeth out and not being bothered at all. Now I'm terrified, not of being sick but of the loss of control, something going wrong, dying!
I need to woman up...

Papergirl1968 · 23/11/2021 11:41

If or when I have it I shall be asking for some of that midazolam!

NotMyCat · 23/11/2021 11:48

They were lovely, I said I was nervous and had midazolam last time and they checked to see exactly what I had. The last thing I remember was saying "I don't think it's working" Grin
Fluffycloudland77 · 23/11/2021 11:52

Anyone who works in healthcare is frightened of GA. It’s like a defining characteristic we all have. Whereas the patients are usually campaigning for it straight off the bat. Sensible to hold out until they bought out the good drugs @NotMyCat. Never just accept the first offer.

@Allergictoironing I hope your performance review isn’t due soon.

Papergirl1968 · 23/11/2021 11:56

Sorry for derailing. You're all lovely. I do like spotting one of my pals from here on other threads!

NotMyCat · 23/11/2021 12:03

Paws arrived at noon exactly Hmm

Performance review is due tomorrow! 6 months end of probation, which is sort of amusing as the fixed term contract runs out at the end of the year anyway.

But today was rotaed off anyway, as I worked the weekend

TheLongRider · 23/11/2021 13:12

I give you the offering of a smooshable tummy. He's purring happily.

I meant the cats performance review! I’m picturing girl cat with a clip board and stern expression.

Are you allowed to tickle the tum @TheLongRider?
