Leroy woke me up at 1:30am by settling down on my back and purring in my ear.

He got me up again at 4:30am and 7am.

He is not in my good books today 😁😴

Ivy could do with a gentle head boop too. Poor thing has an abscess in her anal glands. On to the second course of steroids and antibiotics now.

Although she perked up enough this morning to go full on pro wrestler with her little sister Betsy.

I thought about Ivy earlier but couldn’t find the thread. Is that something they should’ve picked up when you first took her or is it rare in cats?

It's much more common in dogs but not unheard of in cats. And yes I definitely think they should have picked it up earlier. Unfortunately I'm in a wheelchair and my surgery doesn't have disabled access so DH took her and he is nowhere near as thorough as me with questions!

I was getting really worried Sunday and yesterday but she definitely seems better today.

I have been cleaning the pus off with warm salt water. That is not an experience I ever want to go through again...

Oh that won't be an issue. She has recently discovered the joys of lying on the back of the sofa having tummy and head smooshes, while being cradled by an arm so she doesn't fall off. Kills my bad back, but she writhes with such pleasure it's worth the aches.

And he's got fleas. Excellent. I only have the advantage for under 4kg which I use on Ollie so I've chucked that on him and he's now glaring at me
