Confirming my suspicions that buying the multiple cat toys was a waste of money

Ollie is trying to assist with my foot cream application by sniffing my feet and pulling faces
They're cleaner than his paws!!

Allergictoironing · 15/11/2021 08:43

I too am allergic to cats (as well as ironing Grin). Girlcat's favorite cuddle at the mo involves 2 hands busy elsewhere (e.g. belly, base of tail), so to give her head the required rubs at the same time means using MY head - nose, chin etc.

I eventually emerge for air smothered in fur, and have to sit down gently wheezing for a while after.

Supersimkin2 · 15/11/2021 11:39

Oh Allergic, that's a true honour of a cuddle. Kitty Luxury Facial the best, by appointment only.

At night, when I lean over Capn to scritch his tail, he busily headbutts my bosoms to scent me properly then flips onto his back and I have to scritch his armpits while he rubs his fat muzzle against my face. Only then is the light allowed to go off for sleep, Capn having prepared us both against being kidnapped.

I said yesterday to my friend that paws didn't like quarter to times
Paws - arrives today at 12.45 Hmm

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/11/2021 14:25

@coastergirl you were right, Puddy’s turning into a right diva. Refusing most wet food now.

Dh thought our cat caused his asthma, I covered the bedding in dust mite protecters and his breathing got better. He barely uses his inhalers now.

No child of a committed cat owner would risk being allergic to cats @bethabean. It wouldn’t be cricket.

Woo!! Got my Xmas Tesco orders in. Leroy is hugely impressed, as you can tell.

NotMyCat · 16/11/2021 09:37

Paws just hissed at Ollie
Ollie unimpressed and whacked him on the head
Peace restored BlushGrin

He’s going to be a semi-longhair when he’s adult isn’t he @bethabean? My girls classed as semi but she’s fluffy as fuck. It’s like being herded by a black cloud. My dn has a semi b&w girl too.

It’s the two year anniversary of losing Bertie yesterday. I think dh forgot what date we lost him on and it stings a little if I’m honest. It still grieves me that he’s not here.

Justonedayatatime11 · 16/11/2021 15:17

Wow, 2 years @Fluffycloudland77? Doesn't seem possible. It does get a little bit easier eventually ThanksThanks

Nanasueathome · 16/11/2021 15:27

I’m just posting this here as they’re adorable
I’m a dog person
My younger son lives in Cairo and the apartment block he lives in has an underground car park
The adult female cat has lived there for some time and they all feed her
She produced four kittens recently and everyone iN the block looks after them
They all have Austrian names, they sleep under the Austrian guys car
I know it’s not an ideal situation and I do worry about them but they really are lovely
I asked why ‘mum’ is looking so attentively…it’s because my son had smoked salmon for them

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/11/2021 15:37

No, it really doesn’t seem possible at all. I thought he had another 10 years.

Can they neuter them @Nanasueathome or is prohibitively expensive over there?.

coastergirl · 16/11/2021 15:46

I'd love to see Ollie whacking Paws.

Ah @Fluffycloudland77 I can't believe it's two years. I remember that day. It's coming up to one year since I lost my Bertie too. Still can't quite believe it happened.

I’m not really sure Cost wise, most things are a lot cheaper in Egypt than UK but unsure re vets I can ask him and perhaps they can all get together to sort something

I only have the video of him shoving paws out the window BlushGrin
AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 16/11/2021 16:23

Inquiring minds want to know if that video is still available.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/11/2021 16:30

@coastergirl it’s so bloody painful losing them, you went all out to find him too & then that happened.

All the people I don’t like (there’s loads) are still alive and kicking. There’s a life lesson in there somewhere
