Here she is, as a kitten ❤️

Toad was named Toby when I adopted him, but I wanted him to fit with the animal/bird names I'd given some of the others. Both names have stuck though so when he's naughty,he gets the full Toby Toad Surname, or even Tobias.

Your tortie was gorgeous, it's heartbreaking when they leave us 😢

And yes, Vixen and Raven both have cold wet noses which they like to wipe on me several times a day, as well as rubbing their gums on me. They kind of do a scent marking thing but then move so their lip goes up and I get their gums and teeth wiped on my hand. Weird little creatures

Papergirl1968 · 17/11/2021 10:49

Hello Vixen. Love your little pink tongue.
Matt says hi. Not the best picture because he would insist on getting too close to the camera.
I'm ok thanks, Lana. Still having seizures unfortunately, including one in the taxi home from work which freaked the poor driver out. I didn't remember it, which makes me realise I'm quite vulnerable at those times.
Friends are urging me to have the tumour out. I'm not ready to agree to it just yet but I'm starting to see it might be inevitable.

Papergirl1968 · 17/11/2021 10:51

Cold wet noses are supposed to be healthy, aren't they? In cats anyway.
Sorry to hear you're poorly, Coaster.

Papergirl1968 · 17/11/2021 10:52

And sorry about your girl, of course. She was beautiful x

Papergirl1968 · 17/11/2021 10:53

Forgot the pic!

Magnificent Matt!

A joy to behold. I’m with your mates re the tumour - it’s no longer welcome, is it.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 17/11/2021 12:21

@Papergirl1968 - I'm afraid I agree with your friends too. It's all very well for me, I have a warning so I can get myself to a safe place and explain to someone what is happening. My seizures are pretty well controlled too. Remember, the most dangerous part of seizures is the damage that can happen as you fall.

Sending you love and the best of luck, but please do have a serious think about it. 💐

It’s easy to encourage others to have surgery isn’t it! I’d research who’s the best surgeon for that first.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/11/2021 16:25

I checked Puddys nose, cold and wet. Got licked for my trouble.

NotMyCat · 17/11/2021 19:15

It’s almost like he’s lives there isn’t it?

NotMyCat · 17/11/2021 21:54

Shhhhh Grin he stays for about 5 mins then leaves, then comes back an hour later

Supersimkin2 · 17/11/2021 22:40

Look at that darling, open, trusting, gently little face full of hope and love.

(sniffs, slugs wine, practically in tears at the emotional beauty)

He's a completely different cat now he's found, his real Mum and his real Ollie.

NotMyCat · 17/11/2021 23:15

@Supersimkin2 that was the "you're holding a piece of chicken so I will look cute" face
Sorry

Supersimkin2 · 17/11/2021 23:26

Brain surgeons are pretty solid types Paper. And deeply responsible and clever: they wouldn’t advise surgery unless they had experience you’d be better off afterwards.

Supersimkin2 · 17/11/2021 23:27

I know Queen.

We all know. Makes no difference 😀

NotMyCat · 17/11/2021 23:36

I'm contemplating installing a revolving window to be honest. He always appears just as I've got comfy on the sofa

NotMyCat · 17/11/2021 23:39

And yes, surgeons excellent
My neurosurgeon laughed a lot when I asked if physio would fix my back, called me stubborn when I demanded discharge from hospital and has a photo of me on my horse 10 weeks post op in his office
Told me to go away and live my life (but don't do anything stupid like go on wooden rollercoasters cat and mouse at Blackpool) and if another disc goes he will fix it

Also when I was wailing about anaesthetic and being terrified I got "too much bloody paperwork to let anything happen. Besides you're more monitored than anywhere else in your whole life and surrounded by staff, what else do you want?"
BlushGrin

Athenajm80 · 17/11/2021 23:42

@NotMyCat that is the cutest face I have seen all day. Toad is watching me type this, it's a good job he can't read 😉

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 18/11/2021 08:45

This is a silly question, but does Paws have a full-time home?

NotMyCat · 18/11/2021 09:07

He does. Cats protection have been there to check. No cat flap (he uses the window) so we suspect when he is out at night, that's it and he can't get back in. She also thinks he doesn't like the children He's very.. not used to a home. Doesn't purr, totally confused by a bath, doesn't know what the washing machine is etc
Fluffycloudland77 · 18/11/2021 09:14

None of dhs surgeons want to operate 🥺. Not fun.

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 18/11/2021 09:26

Thanks, @NotMyCat. His home life doesn't sound very pleasant so I'm glad you're giving him love and attention. And good for Mr Ollivander for bringing him home.
