@Supersimkin2

Those are all brilliant ideas. I'll be LW later and unearthing the tuna in the morning. Thank you, esp to TWOCATS2022.

He's only eating Ladies of Litter Pavlova at the mo - double cream crushed with Dreamies.

Incidentally, the Tesco orange-slice-on-top ham for a fiver is delish, much nicer than the M&S one which is itself toothsome. Small red box in the Xmas foods chiller.

Lik e lix is the way forward here 😂 I had to fight Ivy with the steroids and antibiotics over the last few weeks but as soon as I crushed a tablet and mixed it with chicken yoghurt she was on me like a tramp on a kipper!!

I take a lot of tablets myself due to serious health issues and now every time I open a tablet bottle both ivy and Betsy start circling me like Chris Pratt with the velociraptors 😂😂

Supersimkin2 · 20/12/2021 23:43

grim about all your pills Spooky but you were dead right about the lik e lix

Sending love to Cap'n and Lana.

I love that Paws has moved in.

Athenajm80 · 21/12/2021 00:44

I don't wish to alarm anyone, but I think Frankie (full name Frankenstein) may have been summoning the devil, or at least a lesser demon - possibly the demon of Dreamies. He may have been doing this himself and just going through an Emo/Goth phase, but thought I'd warn you in case the cats are nearly ready to take over the world. We all knew it was only a matter of time 😁

I think he's summoned something, Ollie is crying now Grin

SpookyScarySkeletons · 21/12/2021 10:40

Little she-devil just nearly brought the entire thing down!

Frankie is concentrating, that is for sure.

Who wants to give odds on Spooky's little monster causing mayhem within the next 24 hours?

Supersimkin2 · 21/12/2021 12:35

Capn did a furball at 4am. Had to get up and sympathise Flowers

Got to find it now.

Honestly Im tempted to take the bloody thing down already! At least Betsy behaves herself (apart from knocking off the lower down baubles and chasing them around like they are catnip balls.

Boycat did his equivalent of a furball during the night - I found it all down the cushion I lean against on the sofa this morning. He doesn't do proper furballs, his are more like large numbers of hairs mixed with bile or similar, rather than being a matted ball.

He's been overgrooming the inside of his back legs lately, so not really surprised.

Allergictoironing · 21/12/2021 16:21

Ooh just thought - could the furball have been affecting Cap'ns breathing, so he's not as bad as we all thought?

Supersimkin2 · 21/12/2021 16:46

Well that’s what I’m hoping too 😊

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/12/2021 17:14

Let’s hope so.

Papergirl1968 · 21/12/2021 18:30

Does anyone else's cat scoff their food in record time and then look sadly into their empty bowl, giving it the occasional hopeful lick just in case a morsel has been missed? The way he puts on a poor starving me act, Matt could audition for a part in Oliver. Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/12/2021 19:22

No but we’ve nicknamed her Puddy “I’m awake so why am I not chewing” Bear.

Toad does this all the time, especially if they get a special treat and have pouches. He eats more than any of the others, then walks off and throws it straight back up cause he ate too quickly. I then get the Puss in Boots eyes, and a mournful "starving" cat meow. Dick. Luckily, he's easily distracted with a Lidl Stickeez toy and a game of fetch 🙂
NMC2022 · 21/12/2021 20:47

No sign of paws, he's obviously exceeded his human contact for the week
Ollie is off for his steroid jab on Christmas Eve, don't tell him Grin

Papergirl1968 · 21/12/2021 21:33

I have to stand guard to make sure Matt doesn't scoff his own and then Socks' food. Hmm

NMC2022 · 21/12/2021 21:37

Ollie isn't too bad with food
Paws.. Hmm he throws all the pouches on the floor and bites them, I open one and he's "nah thanks human" Confused
He used to eat dry but now will only eat wet, raw, or human food or anything he fishes out the bin

Ivy and Betsy have Iams dried and both just casually graze throughout the day. Even if I put down wet food as a treat they will only take a few mouthfuls and then sleep for a bit before going back.
Supersimkin2 · 22/12/2021 05:48

It’s early doors, Capn’s staged a Xmas miracle recovery.

Eaten a huge brekker, now out patrolling the balconies in the hope of accusing Ginger-and-white-Bastard of spilling his pint.

I checked his meds online and whacked up his dosage safely, worked. Lik e lix did the rest.

Christmas kitten last night.

@Supersimkin2. That's brilliant - delighted by the news.

Love your triffid btw Grin

Supersimkin2 · 22/12/2021 06:16

Dear Lord I’m a hopeless snapper - it’s either Background Bin Bag or Finger of Fail in every shot.

Capn knew he wasn’t right and really didn’t want to go the vet - he was kipping by the front door to guard against entry.

I hope the vet gets a new IPhone for Xmas after Capn peed on the last one. Poor little cat.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 22/12/2021 07:29

I’m a hopeless snapper
Not at all - I was just worried that the next picture would be Cap'n being attacked by your magnificent plant Grin

Allergictoironing · 22/12/2021 08:20

Amazing what coughing up a hairball can do! He must have known that was why he was feeling off.

Vet should know better than to leave an expensive piece of tech around where cats can pee on it. As I'm one of the heretics who doesn't like iPhones, I reckon it was Cap'ns way of commenting on the vet's choice.
