Oh yay @Supersimkin2 so glad to hear the Cap'n is doing much better. Hooray for Christmas!

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 22/12/2021 09:29

What they said!

TheLongRider · 22/12/2021 10:15

Have a festive Nemo pic in return.

Nemo! Love the hat!

Papergirl1968 · 22/12/2021 11:09

So glad for you and Cap'n, Lana.
Matt is so greedy, Spooky, that he stuffs his face with dry food too when I put it down last thing at night.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 22/12/2021 11:12

@Papergirl1968 both Ivy and Betsy get hiccups if they eat too quickly! I had to buy them those tilted raised bowls. Funny because our Elvis (RIP 😢) would wolf down the lot in about 8 seconds flat and be fine!

P.s cats with hiccups are hilarious 😂😂

SpookyScarySkeletons · 22/12/2021 11:12

Nemo 🥰🥰🥰

NMC2022 · 22/12/2021 11:12

Ollie does these inward burps BlushGrin never heard him have hiccups

NMC2022 · 22/12/2021 12:51

Paws is here and bloody. Doesn't seem injured

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 22/12/2021 12:54

Oh, no!

NMC2022 · 22/12/2021 13:07

I'm working so struggling to do much but I've looked and got some pics
Second pic contained blood (warning!)

How does he seem? In pain? Normal?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 22/12/2021 13:10

Oh dear - he's clearly been scrapping...

I'm sure you don't need the advice, but I'd just keep that clean (saline) and keep an eye on it in case it becomes infected.

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 22/12/2021 13:12

That's a pretty big cut. Do you think he got into a fight with another cat?

NMC2022 · 22/12/2021 13:13

He seems normal except having a giant drink
He's let me poke it snd gone off to bed

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 22/12/2021 13:26

He might have been panting from stress, hence the need for a drink. And going to bed is an excellent idea. He's safe and warm.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/12/2021 13:52

Is that a burst abscess? That’s a lot of fur loss for a new wound.

NMC2022 · 22/12/2021 14:00

Having poked it more, there's a pink skin bit which is like an abscess, he scratched it and the fur fell out which is very abscess like

Poor Paws. Do you think he'll need a visit to the vet for antibiotics?

NMC2022 · 22/12/2021 14:31

Hopefully not! I do have a steroid jab booked for Ollie Christmas Eve so I could swap to paws if needs be but that relies on him being here
I think it's burst hence the blood so I'll keep an eye
He sat there helpfully while I prodded all around it and didn't even move bless him

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 22/12/2021 14:43

If he didn't move when you prodded the area that's a good sign.

Supersimkin2 · 22/12/2021 15:59

Some bugger’s bitten him in the face. Tsk. Typical Xmas timing. Maybe ask vet for pills Paws can take if it goes gammy over the weekend.

NMC2022 · 22/12/2021 16:28

Ollie says he can help shove him in the carrier "BYE BYE go vet" and have his vet appointment

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 22/12/2021 16:35

Ollie, the ever-helpful!

SpookyScarySkeletons · 22/12/2021 16:44

Poor paws 😢 Ivy is back at the vets on Christmas Eve. Won't leave her poor bum alone still.
