I originally wanted 2 girl kittens and the vet nurse in the practice linked me up with a lady who had 4 kittens 3 boys and 1 girl, so I got a boy and girl. Had no preference 're colouring or marking but the girl and whichever of her brothers she was bonded with best

NotanotherboxofFrogs · 06/07/2021 21:30

Cookie (boy) is the softest gentle cat who has so much love but is slightly scared of people

Millie (girl) has a cheeky sense of life and excels in investigating everything and everyone and is a real food beggar.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 06/07/2021 21:47

Well Puddy got really distressed being boxed so I cancelled the vets. I think she thought I was getting rid of her 🥺.

I hear you Fluffy. Leroy was left at a vets to be pts before finding himself in the care system for months. So guess what happened the first time I took him to the vets... yep, I had to leave him there. It was only for a couple of hours but O.M.G. was I in tears 😭

It's also why DH absolutely will not put him in a cattery - he might think he's being left there and we don't want him anymore.

cricketmum84 · 06/07/2021 21:55

Omg Leroy 😞 that's so awful. Bless your DH for thinking of him. That's really upset me that someone would just PTS because they didn't want him.

coastergirl · 06/07/2021 22:02

I can't stand how some people just seem to see animals as being disposable! Poor Leroy. Hope Puddy is ok now.

Walter is gazing forlornly out of the door as it's raining.

Ugh so the surveyor came out for the mortgage lender and was doom and gloom from the minute he walked in "garden? Doesn't add any value to a flat"
Me HmmConfused

The broker has emailed me this which I think sounds positive still?

he thinks it should be fine, it just means the loan to value will increase, I called the mortgage company for an update on this and they have said it will be looked at tomorrow by an underwriter and they will get back to us on Wednesday with what options you have to proceed.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 06/07/2021 23:03

He was found to have FIV which they saw as a justification for pts. Vet nurses got him in with a cat lady who takes emergency cases, he lived in her porch for a month before getting his rescue place.
I sent them all photos when he came to me so they knew he'd found his forever family 🥰

All surveyors are twunts Queen, I wouldn't worry too much. But how the hell does a garden not add value?

NotMyCat · 06/07/2021 23:05

@YesItsMeIDontCare oh he was the most miserable person! "You bought in 2007? Won't achieve that price again"
Even Ollie scarpered to MA bush

YesItsMeIDontCare · 06/07/2021 23:16

Last time I sold a house the surveyor said absolutely nothing at all. Not a word, except to curtly decline a cup of tea. Just walked around with a clipboard and a face like bulldog chewing a wasp.

NotMyCat · 06/07/2021 23:23

Oh he had both clipboard and bulldog face Grin
Still, it doesn't seem too bad from what the broker has said (I'm clutching at straws) but he has down valued it by 20k!

Supersimkin2 · 06/07/2021 23:48

Git.

I bet he wouldn't dare undervalue MA Bush. It's the most important piece of historic greenery in the UK and he would risk the wrath of Ollie, for a start.

What matters is what you sell it for, and the surveyor has 0 to do with that. The last surveyor I knew was sectioned, as it happens.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/07/2021 08:49

Puddy appears to be over it. I feel like a horrible person because she was scared. She still spends a lot of time under the spare bed so I’ll have to see how she goes. I got up at 6am to feed her and had a snuggle on the spare bed as I didn’t have to be up till 7:30.

Oldraver · 07/07/2021 09:26

NOC (not our cat, as OH calls him) Dexter, he's currently in Ernies old red bed, the one Colin never liked

I don't want him to get too comfortable but can't move him at the moment

Oldraver · 07/07/2021 09:26

Bum

Oldraver · 07/07/2021 09:41

That's what mine was like. Buying my house (I already rented it) was a very interesting exercise. Watching who the cats were all over and who they ignored. They loved the double glazing salesman, but the only Person they ignored was the surveyor, who ignored them!
NotMyCat · 07/07/2021 15:04

Denying all knowledge of the neighbours water feature
Funny how he's been outside and has a wet chin....

Heronatemygoldfish · 07/07/2021 16:29

Alfonso you'd have loved our late cat, then. One fuzzy white blaze mid-forehead, white chin and shirt, white paws, bit of white tummy, everything else black. Could tuck up and look completely black.

We now have one with a bandit mask which is entirely appropriate as he's a holy terror!

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/07/2021 17:30

The Pudster has come out from under the bed.

Got a rubber broom in the range, £6, for getting hair off the carpet. Turns out I’m a bigger shedder than Puddy.
