Much as I'm impressed with both Basil's and Sybil's 'toe floofs', I have no desire to kiss them at all.
I know where they have been Shock

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/07/2021 08:51

I was smooching Asbo on the head once and wondering how he’d come to smell of baby powder.

His cat litter was baby powder fragrance. He’d been rolling over in his tray.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 27/07/2021 08:56

He’d been rolling over in his tray.

They really can be disgusting little beasts when they try Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/07/2021 09:15

Can’t they just. We had an afternoon tea and snack yesterday which was a rare treat & Puddy chose that moment to use her tray.

Justonedayatatime11 · 27/07/2021 22:26

The big boy is poorly Sad. Not sure if it's the weather but his rhinitis is off the scale bad, even with his steroids and bisolvin powders. Nothing else the vet can give. Poor boy has spent nearly the whole day with his head in DDs lap which is so unlike him Sad

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/07/2021 09:44

Poor lad, is it a seasonal problem?.

Justonedayatatime11 · 28/07/2021 11:16

@Fluffycloudland77 it's definitely worse in summer. He really struggles with it and it makes his eye bubble Sad

coastergirl · 28/07/2021 12:15

My poor Charlie. How is he today?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 28/07/2021 12:35

Oh Charlie - he does look like a miserable boy in that photo :(

AlfonsoTheMango · 28/07/2021 12:48

Poor Charlie. He looks so miserable.

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats - we know it's really TC whose toes you want to kiss. Go on - give it a go and report back!

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/07/2021 13:20

Are you trying to get him maimed for life or what 😲

Supersimkin2 · 28/07/2021 15:37

Just to let everyone know that Cap’n had a heart attack on Friday. He’s out of ITU and is home with me, recovering and purring madly.

He’s very ill with heart disease and is on borrowed time, but he’s making the most of it.

He pissed on the vet’s IPhone X and killed it. He scratched the nurse so badly I had to dress her arm, then pissed on her IPhone X and killed it.

He was describing as ‘too frail to eat’ by the ward nurse on Friday. They warned me he might die.

On Sunday he had 11 meals. He screamed this am for five breakfasts. He got them.

Oh @Supersimkin2! What a shock for you! Fingers crossed for cap’n and much love to you. Is anyone supporting you? Can we help?

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/07/2021 15:53

Were the phones retribution for his haircut?.

Allergictoironing · 28/07/2021 16:09

Oh poor Lana, and poor Cap'n V. Though I'm not sure FIVE breakfasts is recommended for heart disease sufferers Grin

TheLongRider · 28/07/2021 17:07

I hope the Cap'n enjoys his gluttonous lifestyle for as long as possible. I'm sorry it has worked out this way, you've been through a lot with the Cap'n.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 28/07/2021 17:59

Really very sorry that Cap'n is so poorly - it feels as if I have a bond with the regular cats on the thread.

I am secretly impressed with his behaviour at the vet and his appetite though. He's clearly not going down without a fight.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/07/2021 18:09

You have to admire his “it’s just a flesh wound” attitude to illness.

Puddy is relentlessly bullying dh into providing dreamies. No wonder she starts miaowing at him every time she sees him. She got half a slice of cooked turkey earlier after I groomed her off him 🤦🏻‍♀️

YetAnotherSpartacus · 28/07/2021 18:27

I’m so sorry, Lana. That was totally unexpected. All the best to you both. Flowers

Supersimkin2 · 28/07/2021 19:27

He’s really chirpy as it happens cos he’s being spoilt rotten with snacks and cuddles. I’m not allowed to move except to serve meals in bed. He slaps his tail over my legs as a restriction and that’s it.

Bless the little lad, he was born with a dicky ticker apparently and no one knew till now. On me, rumbly purring. I’ve never been so pleased in my life to get him back from hosp, we thought we’d never see each other again.

Papergirl1968 · 28/07/2021 20:23

Oh Lana, I’m so sorry to hear what you’ve both been through, and the poor prognosis.
Take it one day at a time. He’s happy and being spoilt rotten, and that’s the main thing right now.
Hugs x

AlfonsoTheMango · 28/07/2021 20:46

Oh, @Supersimkin2, I'm sorry to hear the news but I'm glad that Cap'n seems to be taking it well.

coastergirl · 28/07/2021 21:07

Oh goodness, I'm so sorry to read this @Supersimkin2. You're giving him the best life.

TheLongRider · 28/07/2021 21:11

How did you know he was having a heart attack?

OP posts:
Supersimkin2 · 28/07/2021 21:57

Back legs went, incredibly fast breathing.
