I did 250 kilos of rags today in three hours. Had to rush back to give Capn his early tea. Even tho as I got in I could hear familiar snoring echoing round the premises, he still managed to make it to the kitchen, all wobbling and blinky, before I got my coat off.

So proud :)

Oh they’ll love me up until they decide they’re saving money again and putting us down to contract hours for a couple of months ☹️ Then I’ll be on 12 hours a week and wondering how to pay the mortgage ☹️

You have my sympathies @swampytiggaa I'm the same at the moment with work. 70 hours last week! At least they are paying me for the extra hours though. I finally managed to recruit an assistant who is starting September so I've only got august payroll to get through alone now :)

Now the weather has cooled down the normal crazy cat antics have resumed in the cricket house. Ivy and Betsy spend all morning taking it in turns to chase each other from the living room to the kitchen and back. Ivy has taken to being a dirty stop out and won't come in on a night!! I always worry about her when she is out all night.

She keeps going missing today. We have an electrician and landscape gardeners in and out of the house and she is absolutely petrified of anyone new. She hid under one of the beds earlier. It took us hours to find her. I was so worried!

@cricketmum84 - you're not wrong, but I don't get to give Betsy's toe floofs kisses so Leroy's are specialler. 😁

Betsy's could certainly rival Harley's toes floofs (he was my old chap, now at Rainbow Bridge). I'm sure he used to bounce rather than walk 😂.

I don't get to give her toe floofs kisses either 😢. Anywhere except head, behind ears and under chin gets a quick swipe and a hiss.

Ivy will let you do anything to her though. Literally anything. I could kiss her paws all day!!

Why do cats always decide to attach them selves to the one person in the house who doesn't really like cats?? (Yeah right DH!!!)

Every time he leaves the room she searches for him whilst chirruping! He left for work half an hour ago and she is sat at the window chirruping for him to please come home!

Although she will be hiding soon as workmen are back today.

Aw bless them 🥰🥰 is it neutering day today? I was in a state all day when ivy and Betsy went for theirs! Didn't relax until they called to say they had come round and all had gone well!

They are a boy and a girl, booked in for Weds next week.
