What’s really funny is it’s an iPhone live photo so when I touch it I see her falling to the floor 😂😂 it’s going to keep me amused for years

I wonder if her sisters thinking “I’d never do that mommy, which is why I deserve her dreamies”.

My friends Devon Rex fell in the pond today, he came out dripping with weeds wrapped around his tail and is sulking

She did the pic of him dripping wet with the pondweed made me laugh too. In her words "he came in, we went to check the pond and the weed had a cat shaped hole in it"

Help. Foster cat won't eat, or drink. Hasn't used the litter tray since she got here. New catnip toy barely raised a glance. She is so so depressed

Is she in a separate room with somewhere to hide? I'm trying to think what Ollie would like... cat soup, roast chicken from the hot counter, dreamies, he loves his happy kitty blanket (they're on FB), feliway?

Isn't that pretty common with new cats for the first day or two in a new place, they don't eat or drink and withdraw into themselves? I don't think there's much you can do other than give her time.

Sounds normal, puddy would only drink or use the tray overnight for a week.

How is Princess Puddy now? Is she sleeping with DH on the spare bed?

No she has her lair set up in our spare room overnight. She’s confident enough to mouth us if she isn’t happy.

I don’t think she really enjoys grooming but isn’t feeling secure enough yet to actually go for me.

She flicks her tail while purring, it’s a bit conflicted.

She's all Stop It I Like It with the brushing.

Capn's refusing to have anywhere but his face brushed. Which he lerves. I've sent off for clippers cos his back legs are a bit clumpy. Should call him Matt.

He gets a wet wipe with a damp towel at the moment too.

We're on lightly poached salmon, cat milk, rubdown with damp microfibre glove, and a romantic summer bower involving soaking the tomato plants in the bath first and a scrubbed balcony.

It's 30 in our living room right now and I think I may be dying. Poor fluffum is sparking on the cold kitchen floor. I would join her but then someone would have to pick me up Cos my legs are kaput 😂🤣🤣

Off to get the wet flannel out the freezer.

If you have a gel ice pack, get it in the freezer now. Take it out before bed, wrap in a tea towel and put it in the bed with you. Bliss

My other top tip is for warming you up when ice cold so that's probably best not to try right now

My gel ice packs are in the freezer until tomorrow morning, when I'll use them in the cool bag with loads of drinks. I think I'll have to take a couple of instant ice packs as well, bad foot is swelling badly in this heat & I need to wear shoes!

Cats seem comparatively untroubled by the weather despite it getting well over 30c here the last few days. Maybe there's something cooling about black fur jackets?

Walter doesn't seem remotely fussed by the heat either. Unlike me! My job is far less fun in this weather.
