I can offer sad face courtesy of my latest foster . She's only 6 and her owner had to sign her over due to ill health. Poor girl is absolutely terrified and doesn't know what's going on .

Bloody hell, it’s hot enough tonight without having two furry hot water bottles. The dog is snuggled up against me panting, and Matt has just walked all over me.
Only Socks is being sensible and lying on the bathroom floor. I might join her...

It's roasting and my spf 50 wasn't sufficient for my 15 mins chatting to the neighbours. I look like one of those drumstick sweets

I am currently v envious of my pair. They get to lie around all day, whereas it's my weekend on at work and I have to walk around all day wearing a hi-vis type vest over my top (in a very fetching shade of sky blue) which makes me sweat even more as it's nylon.

And due to the weather, I need to go walkabout near rivers & lakes to discourage young people from jumping into the water off bridges etc. They will, of course, ignore me if I'm lucky & verbally abuse me if I'm not lucky. I will also get verbal abuse for trying to remind people to take their litter home, and if I'm REALLY lucky I get to find broken glass & drug paraphernalia like needles.

I am also fed up and too hot. On day 7 of 13 days straight of 12-15 hour days as my assistant had left and I'm struggling to replace her and I have a payroll to finish by the end of tomorrow. At least I get to do it at home though with a fan on me.

Basil clearly doesn't give a flying fuck that he's in absolutely everybody's way this morning. It's too hot and sprawling on the tiles in the middle of the kitchen floor is clearly the coolest place to be.

Ivy and Basil are enjoying the clement weather, as befits their status as VIP guests on their staycation.

Capns had two breakfasts and is kipping under the frothing fronds of the tomato hanging baskets. I tried to shut the balcony door cos city heat but he wouldn't have it. It's my fault it's so hot, of course.

How is Basil?

Basil is fine thank you. We are slowly reducing his medication on the vet's advice and he is peeing properly. He's also free to go outside. Needless to say he's not very keen on the urinary health food (Sybil likes it though) and the water fountain is a complete turn off for all the cats.

If the window is open she goes straight out then cries on the patio to come back in 😂😂

I'm rather concerned that Gomex may fall off and impale herself on a wooden duck

Tom doing a fair bit of flopping around, but also pottering out and about. He was out again all night on Friday. I'm going to have to start getting tough and closing the window.

I think I’m going to frame that picture for when I’m feeling a bit miserable. In fact I’m going to have it as the screensaver for my phone 💡
