Queen love! Ow! You want calendula for that. And ice cream. Twice daily for a week.

At least you got your money’s worth from the pummelling - but I’d be tempted to see if it worked before rebooking. Next year, if ever.

cricketmum84 · 16/07/2021 07:13

Ooooh ice cream!! It's so rubbish being diabetic, I had a mr whippy with a flake the other day and it sent my blood sugar sky high 😢

We have an amazing ice cream place near us where it's all made on site. They do a whisky and clotted cream ice cream that's amazing with a scoop of their dark chocolate.

Eek hope that bruising calms down!

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/07/2021 07:43

Puddy played with her mousie this morning! I didn’t think she knew what to do with it. I stood frozen on the landing while it squeaked away.

nettie434 · 16/07/2021 09:32

Sounds like Puddy has definitely settled herself in. Hope your shoulders are feeling better NotMyCat. I'm missing a proper office chair and computer too!

Justonedayatatime11 · 16/07/2021 09:34

New foster day today. I've just had a message to warn me she's very distressed and scared Sad

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/07/2021 10:00

Charlie is in disgrace for leaping up onto DHs shoulders from the floor

Clever Charlie!

Hang fairy lights around DH's neck to Charlie-proof it.

What happened to the cat who was dropped off by your neighbour, Just?

Justonedayatatime11 · 16/07/2021 10:10

@YetAnotherSpartacus she was collected 5 days later and shredded my hand in the process. She now sits and glares at me when I do the school run!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/07/2021 10:12

Oh dear :(. Sounds like she wanted to stay!

TheLongRider · 16/07/2021 10:42

I'm doing a 300k.cycle today. I've stopped for second breakfast and I'm currently eating a breakfast roll with a monochrome NMC getting the lion's share of the sausage.

300k Shock

TheLongRider · 16/07/2021 10:56

Yes, I'm following the boundary of the medieval Irish Pale around the east of Ireland. I'll be home around midnight, I live up to my user name.

Keep Ridin’ Long. How fantastic you are. Don’t be late for little Nemo’s supper, mind.

TheLongRider · 16/07/2021 11:01

Nemo was exceedingly glad to see me at 5:30am. By the rapturous reception I received, I think he would prefer an early breakfast every day. Anyway, he's got DH and DD to feed him.

I live up to my user name

So do I, but I think it's easier for me Grin.

I'm very impressed btw.

Defiantly41 · 16/07/2021 14:48

For @cricketmum84 , have you tried these? www.tescoplc.com/news/2018/pimms-ice-lollies-launched-at-tesco/

32 calls and only 8 or 9 g of carb, they do a Bellini one too but it's higher in carbs and cals.

Or if you can get them, the vegan Solero ice lollies (not the icrecreamy ones, but the ones with sorbet in the middle) are around the same count as the Pimms ones. The lemon ones are brilliant but hard to find

Oooh they sound good!!
nettie434 · 16/07/2021 17:38

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 TheLongRider. Very impressive. I was reminded from a long ago history lesson that this is the origin of the phrase 'beyond the pale'.

Finding out about a Pimms or Bellini ice lolly when the temperature is going to be about 30 degrees on Sunday.... Thanks Defiantly!

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/07/2021 18:24

I’m another one who’s impressed @TheLongRider!

Puddy is scared of houseflies.

Puddy is scared of houseflies.

Betsy bloody loves a housefly.

She dives around like a nutter trying to catch them.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/07/2021 19:36

Sky raisins!

cricketmum84 · 16/07/2021 21:28

This isn't cat related at all but I thought you guys would appreciate it.

My husband just announced that when he was younger he though that the song sit down by James was about saddam Hussain.

I am reconsidering my marriage right now 😂😂

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/07/2021 22:29

I can see how it might work. Did he never question it.

NotMyCat · 16/07/2021 23:52

Ollie has been whinging over his food. I put raw down (it's human grade with salmon oil, I'm not poisoning him!) and he whinged over it and wouldn't eat. So I took it away
He threw himself on the floor Grin
Put it back down at the next meal time and he whinged again, so I took it away and I've been looked at in horror that I didn't supply alternative food
Meal 3 and he's eaten the lot while giving me the side eye

He's been picky with food and I'm fed up of wasting it so took a stance Grin

TheLongRider · 17/07/2021 00:03

Well I'm back home 15 hours after I left this morning with 305km in my legs. You can see where I went by following the link on Strava: strava.app.link/v3UALaJYWhb

(I'm not worried about my loss of anonymity, it has been long gone).
