AlwaysLatte all 3 are lovely! Smile

swampytiggaa · 30/11/2020 16:33

I’ve just dismantled the cat tree and binned it as it was super rickety after 15 months of heavy usage by the idiot sisters.

Just contemplating buying another but wondering if the little shits will ignore a new one...

Papergirl1968 · 30/11/2020 18:22

They are all lovely and your dad’s pair have great names, alwayslatte.
I’m really relieved to hear that, Just. Well done, Darcy.
How are you feeling today,Queen?

QueenPaws · 30/11/2020 18:39

Rotten. Paws has come to nap (he's been here about 2hrs)
Spoke to 111 and a doctor who have advised another test as I have all the symptoms still so I've booked a home one

Papergirl1968 · 30/11/2020 18:49

I hope you’re not trying to work as well as battle whatever it is that you have. Try to rest and let Ollie and Paws nurse you - or at least snuggle up to provide warmth and comfort. It’s a shame that fetching you drinks and snacks is a bit beyond their capabilities Smile

QueenPaws · 30/11/2020 18:59

I'm not, I can't take calls because I'm coughing so much so am off sick
Paws has now been here since 4.30!

swampytiggaa · 30/11/2020 20:09

My cats are idiots. Gomez sat waiting patiently for her tea. She didn’t spot that her bowl was about a foot to the right of its normal spot. Then Wednesday investigated my candle. House now smells of singed cat fur 😂😂 can’t see any damage... just wondering what Morticia will do for her contribution!

Papergirl1968 · 30/11/2020 20:20

Socks does that - can’t seem to see (or smell) the food even when it’s about two inches away! She’s very sweet but I don’t think she’s the brightest...

swampytiggaa · 30/11/2020 20:29

Worryingly Gomez is usually the brightest of the three 😂😂 there’s no hope for them is there?

Allergictoironing · 30/11/2020 20:55

Boycat does that with treats. He may have even seen the treat, but if something momentarily gets his attention then he loses track of the treat & looks all bewildered until I offer it again. Then again, Boycat looks bewildered most of the time, life in general seems to confuse him Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/11/2020 21:10

Cats are long sighted.

QueenPaws · 30/11/2020 21:33

Paws has left after 4hrs!

@Fluffycloudland77 that makes so much sense now! Walter can't find Dreamies right under his nose.

@QueenPaws I love seeing Paws asleep at your place ❤️

@Allergictoironing Walter looks bewildered a lot too. I often say he has a very little brain.

@Justonedayatatime11 I'm so glad it was good news with Darcy. Fingers crossed it continues. How are the rest of the tribe? If you ever feel like it and have time, I'd love a roll call of your cats! They fascinate me!

Sorry to those I've missed. This thread is really cheering me up at the moment. It's been a week today since I said a very tearful goodbye to my Bertie 💔 But I so love hearing about Cap'n, Ollie, the idiot sisters, boycat, girlcat and all the others.

Sorry for the sappy post. As you were!

Allergictoironing · 30/11/2020 22:14

@coastergirl Walter may have very little brain, but he probably hasn't been referred to by the vet as borderline special needs! Boycat is the thickest, clumsiest, scared-est cat I have ever met. He falls off things. He panics at anything unusual e.g. noise, anyone coming to the door, me moving at any pace other than sloth-like. He has the memory of a goldfish. You've seen the picture where he genuinely though he was hiding haven't you? He managed to get stuck with his head and one foreleg through the handle of a plastic bag all night once. Current theory is that he may have had an accident when he was still feral, as he has a small scar on his face and he always wants that side scritched more than the other.

On the other hand, he's a magnificent looking cat. Big but not fat, handsome face, glossy thick silky fur. He adores his cuddles, and he looks at me adoringly throughout.

QueenPaws · 30/11/2020 22:17

New record for Paws, returned 45 mins after he left Confused

coastergirl · 30/11/2020 22:45

@Allergictoironing boycat sounds amazing! I don't think I have seen that picture. Bertie was same with bolting at anything sudden or unusual, including me walking at any pace. He only had cuddles at his own instigation. I did have a rabbit with special needs! He was in the adoption centre at pets at home. They thought he had had head tilt which is usually fatal. The end conclusion was that he was just "a bit special needs" as the staff put it. He was adorable but very daft. When Walter was hit by a car the vets told me looked dazed but I was pretty sceptical because he looks like that anyway. His current favourite thing is sitting by me, pawing continually at my face! It's very annoying.

@QueenPaws I think Paws is telling you clearly that he is yours!

Allergictoironing · 30/11/2020 22:53

@coastergirl

Pic attached of Boycat "hiding". As you can see, he's not the smallest (around 6kg)!

QueenPaws · 30/11/2020 22:56

@coastergirl I've given him a hot water bottle. He wasn't sure but I tried to move it and he put his paw on it Grin

coastergirl · 30/11/2020 23:05

@Allergictoironing that photo is amazing! He's gorgeous. I might try and weigh Walter tomorrow!

@QueenPaws bless him! And you. That's adorable.

Walter and I are settling into a new kind of normal. I used sit huddled under a blanket watching TV in the evenings because the door was ajar for the cats going in and out. He now spends a while sitting by the door, yelling to go out, while I say "I'm so sorry Walty, it's not safe". Then he goes on the window sill for a while. Then he snuggles up by my side and goes to sleep. ❤️

coastergirl · 30/11/2020 23:26

My heart is melting at Walter and Boycat. And darling Paws returning home to Queen’s.
Silly Socks managed to get her claw stuck in my clock radio last night. It has sort of perforated holes as part of its design. I didn’t realise for a minute because she just stood there not moving with her paw at a strange angle. She was fine once freed. And I accidentally locked her in the garage today for about an hour. This is a fairly regular occurrence and to be fair she does normally shout me to let her out, but I’d taken the dog for a walk.

AlwaysLatte · 30/11/2020 23:57

@coastergirl
Aw Walter is gorgeous and it's a fab name for a cat!
