I have to confess to being pretty pleased with this ball of fluff. 6 weeks ago he was a bag of bones, who couldn't keep any food inside him for more than half an hour or so. Now he's over 6kg, and has had a clean bill of health from the vet . He's such an affectionate purry boy, I'm just not sure I can keep him... he's only meant to be here as a foster, I've tried very hard not to get too attached... I don't know what to do!

You know perfectly well just how hard it is to rehome Savannahs, especially once they get beyond the cute ball of fluff stage. As long as the others get on with him, looks like he may be there to stay

How's Darcy getting on?

Allergictoironing sadly he doesn't get on with any of the others. I'm giving it a while as he was only snipped a month ago to see if he settles down, but he's giving the impression of needing to be an only cat. He's so loveable though!
Darcy is having a down day . I'm willing her to hang on another 48 hours as that's when the teeth will all be going. I just hope it works as well for her as it has for Snow

@Fluffycloudland77 he's happy outside pottering in the garden. We don't know exactly how long he lived rough before he came to us but he's pretty smart bless him

@coastergirl fortunately it was the boychild who did it and took the photo so hopefully she will blame him...

I accidentally fed the dog a can of cat food this morning. It was wolfed down. Waiting to see if she starts miaowing

Thank you @Papergirl1968. Sadly she's not been so good over the weekend . I don't know if I'm doing the right thing for her tomorrow and I feel absolutely dreadful about the whole situation. I just want her to get better

Ah just it must be so hard. Is removing her teeth likely to be a solution? I don't know how this illness works.

I think probably you’ve got nothing to lose by going ahead. I just hope with all my heart it makes her better.

She's at the vets, we're now not sure her teeth coming out is the answer. So she's going to be x rayed and given a full dental to see if that helps first. I feel absolutely awful leaving her, she gets so stressed going to the vet. I just hope they can do something for her

Any update, Just?

There's definitely one of those @Papergirl1968! She's home. Thank god because at one point today I thought I'd killed her . She's had all her upper and lower front teeth removed, god knows how but at some point she's snapped 2 of them off but the roots were still there. All the teeth they removed were loose and causing her a lot of pain. The teeth they've left in for now have been given a scale and polish.
Her potassium levels are up (me forcing the supplement down her neck actually did some good) but. I genuinely nearly killed her . The other vet I took her to who gave her a steroid injection, didn't pay any attention to the fact Darcy is borderline diabetic. So the vet called me this morning to say all her bloods were fine, but her serum was bright yellow. The steroid jab the other vet gave her has messed up her liver . Fortunately it's reversible. So she's home, with a ton of various medications. She's eating like the poor starved cat she clearly is . The vet did tell me PTS was not even on her radar and that Darcy will probably live to 20 just to amuse us all!

Oh wow. Goodness, what a rollercoaster of emotions you must be feeling.
