Aah no. That's heartbreaking. Flowers

coastergirl · 23/11/2020 11:26

As sad as it sounds i don't have anyone who could. Plus I'm in isolation. Waiting for them to call me back is killing me.

Supersimkin2 · 23/11/2020 11:33

Darling I'm so so sorry. Imagine a big hug from all of us, and try and eat something.

Papergirl1968 · 23/11/2020 11:49

You’re not alone. We are all here for you.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/11/2020 11:55

Modern life’s like this you know. I don’t know any of our neighbours.

coastergirl · 23/11/2020 12:02

The first call was at 9.15. She said they were going to try some treatment but we'd like have a decision to make quickly and she would call me back in 30-60 minutes. It's now 12pm and no call. I don't know what to think. Part of me wonders if there's a glimmer of hope, but the vet said it was very unlikely. His kidneys were in a bad way. My head is spinning.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts. I do know a couple of neighbours (one was phenomenal last night and sat with the kids while I took Bertie) but ultimately I'm still in isolation. Last day tomorrow.

Papergirl1968 · 23/11/2020 12:06

I think you’re justified in calling them back as they haven’t rung in the timeframe they said they would.

coastergirl · 23/11/2020 12:22

On hold now

coastergirl · 23/11/2020 12:26

Vet is in last consult so going to call me when she's out but said to give me a heads up that it's not good. I'm going to have to let him go.

Papergirl1968 · 23/11/2020 12:27

Oh fuck. There are no words x

YetAnotherSpartacus · 23/11/2020 12:31

I'm so, so, sorry.

Supersimkin2 · 23/11/2020 12:43

Darling, you did everything you could, incredibly fast and bravely. Bertie will go without suffering.

coastergirl · 23/11/2020 12:49

It sounds childish but it's just so unfair. My poor boy. He's only two and a half and he's been through so much already.

coastergirl · 23/11/2020 12:51

Vet just rang me back. She's only seen one other case before so getting a second opinion from a clinic in Manchester in case there is something else they can try. But very unlikely. I can't praise them enough. They've done everything for him. I'm wracked with guilt. I should have kept him in.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/11/2020 13:05

It is very unfair. He’s so young.

Papergirl1968 · 23/11/2020 13:29

It is so bloody unfair but you have nothing to blame yourself for.

coastergirl · 23/11/2020 13:37

There's nothing they can do. I'm going to be with him while he's put to sleep.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/11/2020 13:42

I’m so sorry. You couldn’t have done anymore.

Papergirl1968 · 23/11/2020 13:43

Oh Coaster. Hugs ((())) I’m close to tears so I can’t imagine how you are. Drive carefully and do look after yourself when you get back.
Run free over the rainbow bridge, darling Bertie.

Justonedayatatime11 · 23/11/2020 13:53

I'm so so sorry coastergirl Thanks

swampytiggaa · 23/11/2020 14:02
