Thinking of registering as a charity for neglected and unwanted Savannah's Sad. Picking up a very poorly boy at the weekend in an attempt to nurse him back to health after he'd been massively neglected Sad

Supersimkin2 · 02/11/2020 17:43

Oh darling @Justonedayatatime11 what a lovely thing to do. Poor little lad. He's landed on his paws tho'.

Allergictoironing · 02/11/2020 18:25

So that will be number 4? Wonder how long this one will take to integrate?

TheLongRider · 02/11/2020 18:38

I think you might as well @Just. I'd happily fund raise for that charity.

Justonedayatatime11 · 02/11/2020 18:53

It's so frustrating that people don't appreciate how different they are to domestic cats! They're taken in by how beautiful they are, and then don't have a clue when they start destroying your house, and developing problems.

coastergirl · 02/11/2020 19:19

Ah just, what an amazing thing you're doing. How are you? And how are the kittens and my fave Charlie?

Justonedayatatime11 · 02/11/2020 19:43

coastergirl Charlie is still his normal doofus self, and the kittens are, well, hard work! Siamese is the loveliest most laid back little boy, baby Savannah is a menace. Like nothing I've ever known. She sits on my head and attempts to shred my ears/neck/face/all of the above!

Supersimkin2 · 02/11/2020 20:19

Dem kittenz! Beyond darling. Hope your health is ok @Justonedayatatime11.

I'm more than happy to fundraise for you.

coastergirl · 02/11/2020 20:29

Naughty baby savannah! That pose on the little siamese 😍 What's his name? Love seeing Charlie. I'm fascinated by your feline collection!

Justonedayatatime11 · 02/11/2020 20:48

Thanks Supersimkin2 Smile I'm relatively healthy at the moment thank goodness!

coastergirl the Siamese is called Dobby Hmm this is what happens when you let your Harry Potter obsessed 6 year old name the kitten! Although mostly he answers to Mr Dobson or chunk Grin

Supersimkin2 · 02/11/2020 22:42

Yayay @Justonedayatatime11 you look after yourself, now.

Nemo is just fudgesome.

I am losing a staring contest with Cap'n and must go to warm bed up before he deigns to get in. Here's the hood in the past week, showing London is not all concrete and stabbings.

We're on lockdown with a 5km radius for exercise over here. I've started 'burbing whereby I cycle around all the available streets in my circle. I've got plenty of road in my 5km from leafy suburbia to mountainside with sheep and a few areas that I'll be cycling through as quickly as possible before I get bottled!

www.2kmfromhome.com is a useful site for working out your circle.

TheLongRider · 02/11/2020 23:04

The Cap'n is positively glowing in the autumnal light. If you let him outside he'd be camouflaged.

Papergirl1968 · 02/11/2020 23:06

That’s a pity about your son, Swampy.
Fabulous pics, Just.
Four hours working tonight, four in the morning, four on Wednesday and then furlough...

Defiantly41 · 02/11/2020 23:21

Another one @Justonedayatatime11 ? How many cats in total now? You are a saint to give them all such a lovely home.

Excellent picture of Captain V, Lana.

Stay safe @swampytiggaa if you go on the tills. Our local shops have gone crazy.

Justonedayatatime11 · 02/11/2020 23:26

Not sure I'm eligible for sainthood just yet! But this particular poorly boy appears to have come from the same breeder as the kittens and my f2 girl... there's a horrible dark backstory to it and it's something that needs dealing with ASAP. Unsurprisingly RSPCA aren't remotely interested Hmm

Papergirl1968 · 02/11/2020 23:27

Cap’n bathed in sunshine. How lovely x

Supersimkin2 · 02/11/2020 23:28

@Papergirl1968 - You'll be secure from now on, they can't touch you or your pay once furlough kicks in. Excellent choice, Madam.

Cap'n just Whatsapped four pictures of his tail to my boss.

No reply. Grin

@TheLongRider that's a fine site.

Papergirl1968 · 02/11/2020 23:31

Thing is, Lana, I’m only contracted to do eight hours (although I’ll have done 22 this week) so 80 per cent of that isn’t going to be much...

Supersimkin2 · 02/11/2020 23:36

FFS @Justonedayatatime11 can you call the.... aagh...forgotten name of it... I did the guidance on it for dot.gov....there's new govt enforcement powers for breeders, IIRC. I'll ferret it out and let you know - they might have a duty to investigate.

start with this www.gov.uk/government/publications/code-of-practice-for-the-welfare-of-cats and see if they are breaching it.

If so, let me know and I can belt through the guidance for local authorities cos the council will have to go round there if you can see anything in the code that is not being followed.

Justonedayatatime11 · 02/11/2020 23:44

Supersimkin2 that would be great, thank you. I really do despair of breeders who just see them as money makers.

coastergirl · 02/11/2020 23:57

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan! Dobby is a fantastic name.

swampytiggaa · 03/11/2020 04:09

Urgh. I’m up ready to go to work. It’s absolutely shitting it down out there 😭😭

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/11/2020 09:36

@Justonedayatatime11 That’s a brilliant idea, the Bengal breed has the same problems.
