Oh QueenOllie, just sending you and Ollie huge good wishes. Going to bed now but will keep fingers and toes crossed in bed hoping you are both ok.

TheLongRider · 27/09/2020 08:23

I hope you got some sleep and that you get a better update this morning. You did the right thing in bringing Ollie to the vets. When a cat is that bonded to you, you know when they are not right.Flowers

coastergirl · 27/09/2020 10:06

Oh gosh, just catching up. I'm so sorry Ollie isn't well. Does he have previous medical issues? Thinking of you and him.

Supersimkin2 · 27/09/2020 10:08

Massive love to you both.

I wasn't going to post this but my parents' cat had pancreatitis which turned to all over inflammation - the symptoms were terrifying. He lay there in agony, frothing at the mouth and saying goodbye to all and sundry. He thought he'd had it, so did we.

He survived fine after a short spell in hosp. Didn't even need daily meds, but he did become diabetic a few years later. Lived to ridiculously old age.

Am thinking of you both darling.

TheSparklyPussycat · 27/09/2020 10:15

I'm still reading the thread. Sending best wishes to all.

QueenOllie · 27/09/2020 10:29

@coastergirl no, except for his overgrooming.
I'll copy my status rather than typing it back out

Ollie now has a working diagnosis of cholangiohepatitis, he’s got a stone or some sludge showing on the ultrasound. He’s jaundiced, won’t eat and now on antibiotics, fluids and antisickness. They’re hoping to transfer him back to my own vets but he needs to go by transport rather than volunteer as he’s so unwell. They’re going to ring me later to update me, he needs a scan. If it's bacteria sludge then it's better as the antibiotics should help. I will do everything for him providing it is right for him, and not just for me

Papergirl1968 · 27/09/2020 10:47

Oh fucking hell, just read last night’s and this morning’s updates.
He’s in the best place, Queen. Thinking of you and Ollie.
Please let us know any news. You know we all think the world of him x

Pepergirl1968 couldn't have put it better.
Papergirl1968 · 27/09/2020 11:01

Sorry about the swearing... Blush

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/09/2020 11:06

I’m so sorry Queen. I hope they can fix him up.

nettie434 · 27/09/2020 11:58

No need to apologise for swearing Papergirl1968 - gets across that we are all worried. I thought you put it really well. Definitely not a no swearing moan!

swampytiggaa · 27/09/2020 12:05

Oh god @QueenOllie 💕 so very sorry to read this! Just got in from work and caught up 💕 huge love to you and prayers for gorgeous Ollie from me and the idiot sisters 💕

YesItsMeIDontCare · 27/09/2020 12:10

I'm so sorry to hear this Queen. Hopefully with a diagnosis he can now start to get better. Leroy sends a nose-boop •

💐

QueenOllie · 27/09/2020 12:21

Paws has come to say hi. And by hi I mean go "LORD why your face wet hooman?", eat all the food and vanish out the window again
Helpful support cat

YetAnotherSpartacus · 27/09/2020 12:32

Sending all my best wishes and keeping everything crossed for Ollie.

Take care Queen Flowers.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 27/09/2020 16:03

I'm sorry, I've only just seen this. All fingers and paws are crossed here

QueenOllie · 27/09/2020 17:15

Ollie update

He's had a wee, on fluids still. They offered him boiled chicken which he refused to eat and is absolutely fuming. They tried to give him some fuss and he hissed and sat at the back Blush
Further questioning I found they tried to pick him up, I've told them he hates it and best to scratch under his chin and around his head
Diva cat....

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/09/2020 17:24

Fuming is a good sign.

QueenOllie · 27/09/2020 17:29

She said he looked at her, turned his bum on her and ignored her Blush

Papergirl1968 · 27/09/2020 17:49

Sounds like Ollie has plenty of spirit in him. Got to be a good sign.

Supersimkin2 · 27/09/2020 17:55

He has the strongest spirit, darling @QueenOllie as do you. Everyone is sending you both massive good vibes.

Hissing is def a good sign.

You poor girl, what a horrible trial. You're going to ignore this but... Ollie's in the best place, so what about you taking a bit of care of yourself?

Lie down, insert carbs & alcohol. If there's anyone on the planet who loves their mama, it's Ollie, he wants you in tip top form. Take it easy, sweetie, we're all with you Brew

Allergictoironing · 27/09/2020 18:02

Wee is good, as is hissing and showing attitude. As Lana said, he's in the best place and you'll be no use to him WHEN he comes home if you don't get rest and nutrition.

QueenOllie · 27/09/2020 18:04

I have had some food delivered Smile I ordered it earlier in the week for today so I've had a meal

Guiltypleasures001 · 27/09/2020 18:41

I feel there's a collective holding of breath on here for you and Ollie Queen
Feisty is good Thanks

coastergirl · 27/09/2020 19:49

Come on now Ollie. Stop worrying Mama (and the crazy cat ladies of this thread). Everything crossed for him. How is it possible to be so fond of a cat you've never met? He's a special boy.
